A weird thing happened yesterday

Have you ever had a door open and then some bees decided to go into your home? That happened to us yesterday. One was on our succa and that one is gone but when we are out in the succa the door to the kitchen stays open and then all of a sudden some bees just flew inside. I have no idea where they went. I saw one in the kitchen but then it went somewhere else. When Sophie ate I stood by the door to make sure they did not bother her. I am in the salon room at the computer and when I finish in here will get something and swipe the ceiling just in case that is them. It was scary. I hate bees and when i went to bed listened for them. Sophie usually goes in her hiding place but slept on her bed instead. I think she does not like them either.

Never, maybe bees are looking for a new place to live.

@Hannihar I think they like it in a fragrant place and protected from rain.

@May2k8 There was no rain. So they like perfumes?

After all these years here, we only had one bee fly into the house. We shooed it out an open door. They certainly hurt when they sting.

@DianneN Yes they do and I do not want to get stung again or want Siophie too either.

We have blowflies coming into the house but not bees. I hope they don't make a habit of it.

@Icydoll I was stung by one as an adult and sat on one by mistake once also. I hate them with a passion. I have never seen them come into any place I lived before.

Never experienced something like that, bees prefer to stay in our garden.

@Mavic123456 It has nothing to do with locust and that was in Egypt when my people were slaves and then G-d had Moses get them out of there and they wandered in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights. These were bees.

I have experienced invading of bees in our home. As there was a beehive in our verandah. Later, we appoint a professional to break the hive.

I have screens on my windows and balcony door. Sometimes I will leave the balcony door open and some bees will fly in. They usually stick close to the windows so if they dont fly back outside, I swat them with the swatter.

@Starmaiden This is because we still have our succa up and my Sophie loves going out there so that is why it happened I believe. We get flies but Sophie loves them.. I was very surprised when a lot of them flew in all at once.

My husband was stung by a bee and was rushed to the hospital. Good thing he got ok after a week or so of enduring the allergy and side effects of numerous injections.

@Janet357 I have also been stung by a bee and sat on one too. I hate bees and I could see my Sophie was afraid so I watched from the doorway so she could eat.
