Purple Pansy Pleaser

Purple Pansy from my Garden

Do you have flowers in your garden now? Mine are slowly going away but they will return soon in the spring. This purple pansy was in my spring garden awhile back. Amazing how nature and flowers can brighten your mood. No matter what is going on with you, take a walk around flowers and colors and blooms, it will always bring a smile. That has been my experience. And yours as well?

@MALUSE The name of the flower is "Marvel-of-Peru" (Mirabilis jalapa), in Italy we call them "Belle di Notte" (night beauties), because they bloom late in the afternoon and the flowers close when the after the sun rises. Here is a photo that I posted last year. The flowers on the same plant have different colors.

@MALUSE The past two days the flowers that are blooming are less colorful, I think that soon they will bear no more flowers.

I don't have a garden, my parents have one and one of the first things I remember is a small spot filled with pansies . This is one of my "magical" memories .

I am so pleased to hear that the flowers bring you so much pleasure Carol. Now I am sure I am going to sound odd, but flowers, though they are beautiful, they have never done much to lift my mood. Sad creature I am.

They absolutely do my friend. I guess because I plant them, to see them actually grow brings me peace. And they attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
