Daddy's Gone

God and his angels came by and took my Dad early this morning. Besides his advancement with Alzheimer's, he had developed a Hernia, twisted intestine and colon which developed into a serious case of Sepsis.
He was taken to the hospital from the nursing home a week ago and put on antibiotics before the possibility of any surgery. The doctors said the Sepsis was too bad, so they transferred him to a Hospice on Monday.
He was in horrible pain and even on Morphine, when he would awaken, he was crying, "Help me, help me!" So after 3 days, Dad is no longer in any pain. Bye Dad, I love you.

Thank you @amadeo . Knowing my Dad, he's probably already raising holy cane up yonder.

@nanette64 My parents are finally reunited, living in pain in a hospital bed is not life.

And for my dad to have been such a strong man, for him to say those words rips you apart @LadyDuck . I think of both my Mom & Dad as sleeping peacefully.

So sorry to hear Nanette It is so hard going through the loss of a parent. With me, even though they are with God, they are never far from my thoughts for very long. The memories for me can be bittersweet, but in a way comforting too. It is a helpless feeling to see those you love so much suffer before heading off to eternal life.

I'm sorry to hear it my dad paased away when I was 16 many years may had been passed there still the sadness in my heart and there are times most of the time that I long for him he is the kindest person I've ever met.My dad brought us to church every Sunday taught us to pray and to read the bibile that's one thing I will never forget and will always be thankful for to my dad. I'm most thankful to God that he has given my dad for us.
Just keep on praying Nannette though we may not know each other, you will feel the sadness the loneliness and you will feel long for your dad just be strong and ask God to give you more strenght. You need to go througjh it so you can get through it. God bless.
