Do you have sun sickness?

My first encounter of this was when i was fourteen years old. I took a shower and drove off. It was sunny day then. After an hour, i just found myself cringing from migraine and a few minutes after, i vomitted. I felt okay after that, like,my old vigor came back. Since then, whenever I go out, be it sunny or just the whole surrounding is hot, even if it’s cloudy, migraine strikes and it is followed by vomitting. My doctor said it was sun sickness. I take a vitamin everyday that minimizes such. And thank God, it works. Do you also experience sun sickness?

If I don't wear sunscreen, I get bad sun poisoning. The sun also makes me sneeze a few times when I go outside.

Wow, that’s my first time to hear someone sneeze from the sun. Another form of sun allergy.

My job requires me to work night shifts sometimes, which means I get to go home in the morning. Nearly every time after I finish a night shift and go out into the morning light my eyes begin to ache and a horrible migraine kicks in. I never vomited from it, but the migraine would last for nearly half a day and prevent me from falling asleep.

Oh my, half a day is too long. So how can you work in the eve if half a day, you have been tormented by migraine, that will be hard. Do you take medication?

@Annaelle oh good. Migraine can really drain your energy. Good thing it’s a thing of the past.

I enjoy the sun but try not to overdo it. I don't want to get sunburned or anything worse.

@1hopefulman wow! You know, i remember this passage by andrew carnegie, that the happiest moment of his life was when he walked by the beach. Hahahah. I do like walking by the beach especially during sunset. But swimming , no. I like wooded areas, rivers and lakes. I think you have a lot of them in canada. It’s a beautiful country. By the way hope, can you speak french too?

I never go out on a hot, humid day without a water bottle. I have never had heat stroke, but I have gotten some really bad sunburns.

@Janet357 No, but a sun hat might help prevent one.

Yes. I also do that, but then water can never stop the migraine.

Is that the same as heat exhaustion? I am lucky to not get that unless I really overdo myself on hot days.

Not really. Because in my case, just a minute of exposing myself to the sun, makes me sick. It doesn’t happen all the time but there are times, that it’s really like that.

I don't experience sun sickness, but I have heard it can be so severe. Sorry you get so sick from it. I am glad a vitamin helps you.
