This is a beautiful spot, so peaceful and private. What a wonderful place to be able to dream, create, think, and write. I can just imagine sitting on a blanket in a area with soft grass listening to the soft fall of the water. Listening to the birds calling out to one another. How wonderful to be in this peaceful private spot and dream about your life to come. It is a place where creativity would abound. You wouldn't be able to stop the ideas. It would be wonderful to have a spot like this to visit whenever you needed to get away or get that peace that we all need at one time or another. Do you have an idea in the back of your mind of a place you would like to go and dream? what would it be like?

@siao441 I have lived 6 months in Los Angeles, too dry for my skin, too dry for my eyes. I prefer to stay where I live now.

This would be a lovely spot indeed. However I often find myself chasing off ants when I sit on the ground. Maybe a hammock would be the answer.

@HazySue It would just take them a bit longer and there might only be one or two rather than trillions .

Maybe but knowing ants I am sure they would find a way to climb up to where you were.

I swear that I had passed a number of spots like the pic above (even prettier) when we visited Tasmania, Australia. One was some metres away from an acquaintance's house in his vast property. When we admired his 'creek', he told us that not far from that happened to be a nest of tiger snake'. (His tiny dog soon after, got into a lethal combat with them snakes and cost our acquaintance a few thousand dollars in vet bills to save its life.)

Oh dear, poor puppy. If there are snakes nearby that makes it all less appealing. Pretty but not a spot for me.

@HazySueThe man was laughing, explained to me that if there was water, (and warm weather), snakes are likely to be around.

@YrNemo The warm weather I could do without, but the water I seem to find peace with. I will have to imagine it cold .

I used to fall asleep to the sound of water lapping upon the shores edge. It would sing it's own lullaby and lull me to a peaceful restful sleep.

I love places like that. They are the best place to become one with yourself and nature. I don't know if there would be any creativity going on though. It's a good place to be alone and empty yourself from all the hassles of life and regroup so I could create. I've actually been giving thought to NaNoWriMo this year. I don't know if I will have the time though.

@HazySue I go to the park when I need to regroup. There's no place better than looking out at the water, and just letting the cares of the world lift from my shoulders.

@just4him I agree. When I lived up by the Canadian border we had a gazebo on the edge of the lake. I could sit in the gazebo, look at the lake, and create for hours. It was lovely. Your photo is beautiful.

True, it is a good place to let yourself relax and just be. We do need to regroup every now and again. I think it would be beneficial to you, if you can find the time.

I feel at peace when I'm surrounded by trees and when there's a small pond nearby. I remember going to this park often back in my teenage years. It was my refuge and I would make it a point to spend a few hours there every week.
