Hurricane Michael Damage

I have relatives that were in the path of Hurricane Micheal down south yesterday. It was one of the worst to hit Florida or the US. According to meteorologists, no Category 4 or 5 hurricane had made landfall in the Florida Panhandle since record-keeping began in 1851.
The family are all safe thankfully but most are without electricity. Many downed trees have fallen on the power lines. Trees can be replaced but their lives cannot. Glad to know they are safe. These storms can be devastating. The wind damage and the flooding are usually the worst part.
Anyone here in the path of the hurricane? Are you all safe?

@kobesbuddy No, Only one owns her own home there, the other 2 rent but all their homes are okay. Just downed trees and trash.

So sorry for all those affected by Michael. Here, there are no hurricanes. It is raining today but very light.

@CarolDM So far so good. We can get quite a bit or rain but things are not so bad these days.

I live in the north so no problems here, we watched the hurricane on the TV for a long time. very scary. The skies above us yesterday were awesome, black and angry with only a spit of water on us. Good to know your family in the south were safe.

No, we here in Denver don't get many hurricanes, although it does rain a lot when one is brewing near Texas or the Pacific. But geez, look at that tree. Hope everyone stayed safe.

Jay's son is in Florida, around Fort Lauderdale. We haven't heard from Jarvis, they don't live in the panhandle. Thank God, all your family members are safe, Carol:)

It's great to know your people are safe, Carol. Material damage can be devastating, but we can fight to get our lives back in such circumstances. There's no bringing people back. We have our own storm coming in tonight, but of course nothing compared to Michael. Stay safe, my friend.

Aha, so glad you posted, I was just wondering if they were okay. My friends in Gulf Breeze made it okay. Some are heading to Panama City today to help.
