As land becomes scarce in the wake of increasing scarcity of burial grounds, most people are resorting to other means of disposing of the dead. I see cremation to be one of the most sublime alternatives to ground burial. What do you think about this, mylotters?

@GovindaB cheaper, better or the environment and mourners can sit down indoors for the ceremony

@Govindab I don't know about it being sublime, but it's the way I intend to go. And thanks to @pgntwo for pointing out that I'm not the only person here preoccupied with things funereal.

I wouldn’t mind to be cremated and spread to the sea. Although I’ve seen somewhere about being buried under a baby tree and you’re corpse becoming one with the tree. I find it very interesting too. But I think it wouldn’t solve the issue of land scarcity.

@flapiz More corpses are exumed day and night in the construction of road, bridges and buildings. Land burial is becoming incovenient

@GovindaB Cremation is better than burial, but now traditional pyres are fast becoming history. They are being replaced by electrical Cremation.

Electrical cremation is spiritually not beneficial. It is a little "off" nature.

You still have a lot of time, do not think about this too soon. Heaven is the eternal destination.

I used to be against it only because I didn't think about the details. After having to do that with all of my family members, cremation is my choice. Less expensive and why not!

@carolDM "Why not". That's the point. Besides being less expensive, it liberates the soul from the bondage of body-Soul attachment

It is a practical way to do. I think that many cultures are starting to adopt it. Even the Christian faith has accepted it as normal already unlike before when they do not allow it.

Recently there was a rumour that the late UN boss, Kofi Anan, was cremated. This is proof that people are giving it a serious consideration
