Yesterday was a glorious day here, weatherwise, so my husband and I took advantage of it. We played golf, had lunch at our club, and went for a drive along our shoreline.
It was a perfect day for a convertible, but our sports car is in the sports car hospital, having cosmetic surgery. We did open our sun roof in our sedan, and it was good enough.
Our final stop was for our scheduled yearly eye examinations. We each had our eyes dilated. My husband was fine, but my eyes were too sensitive to the light. It took me most of the evening to adjust enough to watch TV.
~Photo was sent by our son. His new 3 season room furniture arrived. So happy the kids got to enjoy it. They will soon have to store it for the winter.~
I hope anyone affected by Hurricane Michael is safe!

I try to imagine the room at night, maybe there are some lights in the garden with some colors, you can light up some candles with an aroma. It can make a romantic place. Put some Enigma music (maybe sadness song of Enigma) to get in the mood.

@rebelann Well, I do hope she and Max learn to tolerate each other. That's the best to be expected.
with her food out all the time.
Doodles sprays when something stresses him. We think he was stressed from smelling Kuma's food and not being able to get at it. When she finishes eating, we put her dish on a high shelf to keep Fatso from gobbling it up. The gate at the bottom of our staircase has been working well. Now we can leave her upstairs

Here it was a gloomy day and I was here a bit and also was out for a few hours. I also need to have an eye checkup soon. I think my eyesight is improving and my glasses are too strong. That would be nice.

@DianneN When will you be going to Florida?
The last checkup it improved a bit as they told me the prescription was too strong. Maybe it's all the fruits and vegetables I'm eating.

@1hopefulman I don't know. We are waiting to see how the cat is doing. We want to be here for our son.
Could be all those fruits and veggies!!! Good news.

Why can't your son keep that set of furniture there? (I am curious.) We had a similar sunroom once, but our sofas were dark green. My kids and I spent lots of time there. (I made very pretty curtains to go with that room. Broke my heart when I sold that place.)

He'll store it in his basement for the winter. It was too costly to ruin with snow and ice. I know. I paid for it. . It's a screened in porch. One day, he may enclose it with windows and add a screened in porch to that.
We did the same when we had a screened in porch, except our cushions weren't waterproof back in the day.
I am sure your sunroom was gorgeous. I love dark green anything!

@DianneN shhh... we enclosed that porch without the approval (didn't know about that at the time. We were a very young couple back then .). The sunroom turned out to be gorgeous, and the Greek neighbors winked, said, 'lucky you that the neighbor at the back had moved away. They complained about this area a decade ago. The owner before you did the same, enclosed it, but was fined a thousand dollars and had to break some parts off hence the beautiful roof and the lower walls. We won't complain against you. You are nice people!'

The nature has his good sides and his bad sides. The natural disasters somehow forced us, the humanity, to find solutions to protect ourselves, build strong houses for example, invent technologies...
We still need to learn to be united, to think for the better of each of us.
I like the color of the couch, the garden looks pretty, well maintained. If the family works together to maintain the garden pretty, it can be fun, collecting the weeds together with the kids and the wife :-)

@DianneN Who maintains the garden ?
You can grow in the garden herbs like mint, spearmint, aloysia, symbopogon (lemon grass ?) and etc.
You can then make herb tea, and drink it in that room together with the kids. You enjoy the garden better this way.

@stringer321 I used to have a garden. Now it's just flowers and herbs. My son had a lawn service to mow. No garden, since he moved into the house on July 31st, and now it's getting cold here.

Lovely furniture. Lovely colors.
You had a wonderful day.
My eyes are too sensitive and it takes me also little longer than others to adjust after dilation.

What a stunning colour! Your son has great taste, Dianne. I am glad you had such a lovely day. Sorry it took your eyes so long to adjust after the eye examination. Footage of Hurricane Michael was horrific, I hope that everyone stayed safe, though sadly some lives were lost. I hope you'll have a wonderful Friday.

Thanks so much! He and his wife chose it together, and when he asked my opinion, I told him to order it immediately. (Our gift.). It looks great with the light blue ceiling in his screened in porch.
My eyes are very sensitive, and the eye doctor asked if I had plans for the rest of the day. Lol! He knows what happens to me, but I'm fine now.
Yes, that hurricane was horrendous and really left a huge mess of devastation.
Happy weekend to you!!!!
