Don't ever think you are not worthwhile

The photo has nothing to do with the post. It's just a simple, perfect flower.
In my journal of jottings from various self-help books, I came across an entry written in capitals. I replaced one word with several as I know the wonderfully varied community that is myLot do not all subscribe to the same faith. If you have no faith at all you may want to move on to something more interesting at this point.
But if you believe in a Higher Being of some sort who cares about what happens to each individual, you might like to ponder on the following: He/She/It did not make junk. That’s all. It’s worth repeating: He/She/It did not make junk. I thought that was pretty powerful at the time – and still do. So if you sometimes feel inadequate and don’t always feel very worthwhile, remember – you’re not junk.

Some who are depressed think of this, and I think showing and telling them they are not junk but a very special person who is brought to this beautiful world will make them think about their importance.

That is a powerful message. I am an unique creation by the Almighty and I am worth it.

True I am worthy as others are too. Sometimes it is hard to swallow that kind of an idea in a world that a dominator and dominated exist and where ruler and subjects exist. But despite that I still believe that no matter where I am in that situation I am not made lesser or more than other creatures in this planet.

I've heard that before, but sometimes it is hard to believe when someone is throwing harsh words at you.

@JudyEv True, if you memorize this, you can think on it when trouble arises.

I'm an atheist, but I read on anyway. It's a good attitude to live by.

I think everyone has worth. It is up to us not to waste that potential...

@JudyEv Yes, totally agree. When you posted this topic I was thinking of those individuals who commit crimes against those less fortunate for personal gain. Actually, all criminals and murderers who choose to waste the potential given to them.

I have never felt that way as I firmly believe we are all here for a purpose.

I hope it will be a comfort for some to be reminded that we all have a purpose.

You are so right, Judy. Each person who has ever lived was so important to God that He gave the life of his son for us.

That's true but in the hustle, bustle and turmoil it can be easy to forget.
