I haven't been on for a week or two but tonight I got on and have been reading and noticed that the site is not secure. Do all of you see this or is it just my site.
Worries me a little bit that its not secure and makes me wonder why!
I thought Mylot was always a secure site, what info could people get from our accounts or on things we post?? Is this a big problem, should I be worried?
Any info would be appreciated.

Nothing to worry about, there are many sites like this and there is no problem. Http or https(secure) doesn't mean one is bad and the other good. Guess you wouldn't post your credit card details on a secure site, right?
In the end, what matters is what data you are sharing.

I think you have gotten some good explanations. I did not know why, but once or twice in the last three years I have gotten that notice. I have ignored it.

I've noticed that as well but am not concerned. When you consider how many supposedly "Safe" sites have been hacked, Facebook, the Pentagon, Citibank, etc, one has to wonder what really is safe online. The answer is that nothing is really safe online.

Yes, not sure the security is all it could be on this site, but many sites are like that, so I am not too worried.

It hasn't caused me any real concern. I'm not doing anything on the site on the day to day that would compromise any of my information anyway. I know it isn't affecting the payment information because that isn't being exposed by just logging into the site.

@cintol No problems. Had to just sit down and think it through myself.

I have always been aware that it is not a secure site. It has an http address and not an https address.

I don't think we need worry about that. Hackers can't get into your bank from myLot.

seems safe enough - the only stuff they'll get on us is what we post publicly - as payments go to Paypal, no one accesses our bank details here

I have nothing to hide plus I am poor so an 'insecure' site doesn't bother me! :O)
