Are You the Talker or the Silent One?

For partners in life, there will be the talker and the silent one. Or both could be talkers or both silent type.
I admit, I am the talker.
I always would talk about this and that, while my husband would only talk when I ask him how was his trip to this or what happened to the party he attended for their high school batchmates.
Though sometimes he talks also, when he seems to want some ideas from me. But usually, he would only talk when I initiate for him to tell me more.
Sometimes, I keep talking but he is silent. So, I have to ask him “Did you hear what I have just said?” and he would say yes, and I will tell him to tell me what was it and he would repeat it.
Well, I think most of you here are the talkers than your partners? Do you also get annoyed when your partner seem not to say anything about what you are talking about?

@m_audrey6788 I guess that's how God intended for partners. They have to be more or less the opposite. Because if both are silent, what kind of a rela5ionship is that and so if both are talkers, they will always argue.

I am the talker in our family, but my husband can get on quite a roll when there is something he is passionate about. When we travel together we are both silent much of the time. We are both comfortable with silence as well.

@Morleyhunt Couples adjust to one another because they already know each other's likes and dislikes.

Usually, a woman is really a talker... Ha ha... They are like a police always asking for everything. "What did you do?", "Why are you late to come home"... etc...

So, like my husband. He is a man of few words. Won't speak unless yoh asked him.
Though, he also would talk, about the aliens he saw on YouTube being discussed. He is a beliver of aliens that is why. I just listen and watch rhe video he would show me about it.

@SIMPLYD No we respect that the other one had different interest, after all that was part of the attraction.

@JohnRoberts And I guess since you are a silent type, you will be also when you will have a partner already.

Just like your husband I'm also the silent type though once in a while I talk. My wife is a fighter and will talk in higher notes.

My sister said i always talk loud and in high notes. No wonder, sometime would tell me to stop talkinv already. When he says that , I already stop because i know he is stressed already by my talking a lot.

I am the talker compared to my wife. However I just engage her in conversation at the right moment, for example,She hates talking with me while she is watching TV.

Oh so you are the talker. It's good that at least, one of you is the talker. Because if both are silent, there will be no communication. But I think , it is fun to be both talkers.
Of course, no one wants to be engaged in talk while watching TV. I can relate.

@changjiangzhibin89 That is true too. When one is silent, the other must be the talker. They compliment.

@SIMPLYD I think it is no fun if a couple both talk the hind legs off a donkey. It is better for a couple to be mutually complementary in respect of character.
