Here in Minnesota we are transitioning into winter (ugh, it’s 33 currently but with a supposed high of 60 today - warmer than its been in a while). Do you have fall colors where you live, when the leaves begin to change colors on trees?
Me and my younger sister took a quick day trip to a new state park we hadn’t been to yet about 45 minutes away from the metro area. The drive was full of reds, oranges and yellow which was beautiful. On our walk was mostly yellow leaves but still beautiful to walk through the woods surrounded by a canopy of trees with yellow leaves!
And after 2 hours of walking/hiking, we ended up doing 6 .5 miles and per my Fitbit, we climbed 71. Flights of stairs! (It was extremely hilly so I do believe it). It was nice to go somewhere new, and get exercise but also see the changing leaves. And on a Wednesday, it was a total ghost town!
Do you have fall colors where you live?

I have been in the northern hemisphere a couple of times in my life and the colors of the trees are awesome in the fall. We don´t have that where we live and most of our native trees do not lose their leaves in winter.

I love the parks around me and I don't work as hard as you do hiking but I do enjoy doing what I can. We usually have gorgeous colors and I thought we would get them but no, green to yellow to brown, we missed out on the reds and oranges...Maybe next year.
