I am looking for a tree that grows well in the sun and shade to go at the corner of my house. A Bloodgood Japanese Maple tree has been recommended. I have seen these beautiful trees all around the are and they are gorgeous.
Does anybody have any other suggestions? It will be planted between the corner of my house and the driveway. I have been looking for awhile and this year I am going for it. Here is a photo I found of the one I want. What do you think?

@CarolDM It does well with the heat of summer. We planted it as a baby around 23 years ago. I am thinking it is around 10 feet high.

@LeaPea2417 Oh wow. Thanks for the info. I also looked at a dogwood. They grow wild and are very nice.

I think that would be a very pretty tree to plant. I don't have any other suggestions, but that would be a nice thing to look out and see.

@CarolDM We have a tree in our front yard that grows pink flowers, I am not sure what kind it is. It's a little taller than the one you have and the petals are paler in color, but I love to look out at it.
Have you gone to a nursery and asked for suggestions and advice?

It is a very pretty tree. Are you going to put it in the ground or keep it potted? If in the ground make sure it wont out grow your area.

I think youve made a good choice Carol. I like the Acer ones as well. There are all different kinds. Go have a look.
