Something hit the Moon

The other night, I watched youtube and it suddenly stopped working. I tried all kinds of ways to make it come back and it didn't.
I searched to see if youtube was down and found it was a worldwide outage.
According to a youtube video on Secure Team, the government shut it down because someone was going to post a video of something hitting the moon. They wanted to stop this posting because they did not want anyone to see the object.
I don't know what really happened but that is an interesting theory. What do you think? Were you watching youtube when it went off the air? Have you heard any other theories?

I was talking about this the other day and said I believe that it was Kann that shut down YouTube just because they knew they could do it.

I thought about that. It was like a while back when they shut down the whole internet for an hour in the middle of the night, just to show that they could. It was announced way ahead of time. I wondered if they did the same thing for youtube.

I hope this is not just the old conspiracy theories that are spreading around the net. I do not think that Government would go to that extent to cover up something that may not be significant about it. Besides the uploader can upload it to other video sites as well. Why specifically Youtube is targetted by the government.

@akalinus or it might just a routine maintenance YouTube is doing in their site or just might be an accidental shutdown caused it to shutdown due normal wear and tear of their servers. There are many theories we can concoct from that incident and for sure no ine will know the truth except for those that were there and witnessed what happened.

@DianneN That does make sense. People asked that on the discussion part after watching the video. When they did the video, they kept showing a video of a flying round object traveling high. I don't know if that was the video they did not want people to see or not. They said nothing about it, just showed it.

There is no truth to something hitting the moon. Millions of people around the planet have high-powered telescopes that can see the moon extremely close-up, and many people, governments and organizations have equipment that can film the moon. If something were to hit the moon, video evidence of it would be all over every possible media outlet.

@akalinus But stuff hits the moon all the time. It doesn't have an atmosphere like Earth does, so there is no way for objects to burn up before impact like they do in Earth's atmosphere. If we didn't have an atmosphere, we'd be getting pummeled by debris from outer space all the time.

I wasn't on YouTube when it went down, and unless the information is from someone from YouTube explaining the exact reason why it happened, I'm not going to go with theories of something hitting the moon for the reason YouTube suddenly cut their feed for two hours.

You can find the most interesting things there. No matter what you are interested in, you can find a youtube video about it. I learned how to use my instant pot by watching youtube. You should take a look around sometime. You will be surprised.
