I Never Learned My Lesson!

I drank coffee during the talk then bash by one of our big suppliers of generators, tractors and the like, just this afternoon. Thus, this evening it is already past midnight but i still can't sleep. Good thing, tomorrow, Wednesday is a holiday in our city. So, i will just oversleep. I was advised by the doctor before, when I told her I have difficulty sleeping early, not to drink coffee anymore when it's past 12 pm. I never learned my lesson. My sister and husband would drink coffee before they sleep yet they sleep easily after that. What is the effect of coffee on you when .you drink it in the afternoon?

Wow, two cups in the morning! I suppose you drink them on different hours in the morning. But what about if you drink it late in afternoon? Would it also not make you fall asleep early as you always do.?

I drink coffee round the clock. Sometimes it even makes me sleepy. But it does get annoying when it keeps you awake when you don’t want to My biggest problem with coffee is I get hyperacidity when I drink too much. But even with that I still tend to over drink.

You drink it round the clock? Does it mean that you are one of those call center reps? Coffee can indeed give you hyper-acidity when you have too much coffee in a day. But well, when we overdo eating foods and beverages, it has its bad effects.

How I wish it has the same affect as to you also. Though, I also drink it everyday for breakfast only. Once in a while , I drink when it is necessary and that's when my sleep time gets wrecked.

@SIMPLYD I used to love coffee at one time but had to give it up. I am now convinced that water is the best drink and enjoy that. I just came home and am drinking water and will be drinking 6 cups when I'm finished in about an hour.

@1hopefulman So, how many glasses of water do you drink in a day? Yes, water is the best. You will have a good metabolism if you drink the required number of glasses of water in a day.

@SIMPLYD I might drink tea, but I'm usually wide awake when I wake. There's only been once when I woke and felt like I was in a fog. I understood why people need their coffee in the morning. That happened last week. I usually drink water with breakfast.

@ridingbet That, won't. Because the doctor said the effect of caffeine is up to 8 hours. So, it's past that before my sleeping time of 10:30.

Why do you have tractor suppliers? Is your company also engaged in agriculture? Or you use the tractor to rake the day's millions in sales :)

That suppliers supplies generators which some of ours were bought from them. But our affiliates are their clients for those tractors because they are in construction business. They construct roads and the like.

Wow, you are so lucky that it doesn't affect you adversely, accordingly. Sometimes, when I am in a seminar like this, I really have to drink coffee, to ward off my sleepiness, specially, when the topic is boring.

So it's not only me violating the doctor's order. I was also advised to stop from drinking coffee because I have occurrence of palpitations attack some time (the coffee mix perhaps is the cause). Sometimes, I get tempted especially if other members of the family would have their mug of coffee. If I do that, I would have difficulty sleeping during the entire night. Although it is said that it's effect last only for two hours. It's really totally different now unlike before because I can't sleep without having a coffee at night. If I have one, I have then an easy and good sleep.

Wow, really, the effect reversed for good for you. I hope mine could be reversed too. I might as well, try it on Friday night. Drink a nice coffee like the Bes Coffee that has stevia and so tasty.

@ZedSmart Yes, try it. It has other herbal ingredients. But if you have a maintenance medicine, you have to ak your doctor first and tell him the herbs in it. It can hamper or contradicts medications.

Yeah I avoid drinking caffeinated drinks as well because they can disrupt your sleeping cycle. Drinking coffee for me is only at breakfast but anytime of the day I usually avoid drinking it anymore. Unless some friends would invite me to a cup of it though it seldom happens. I think if you underslept the only solution to that is to catch it up soon so that you wont get affected health wise.

So it has the same effect on you too. Yes, I avoid it as much as possible. But, when I drank that brewed coffee because I am sleepy because the topic is boring, I also have in mind that it will be a holiday anyway the next day. So, I overslept but still, I woke up at 6:30 so it's still just 6 hours of sleep for me. That afternoon, I slept after resting from lunch for about two hours. So, that night again, I slept at past 11:30, because of that.

Actually, I still lacked sleep despite the fact that I woke up 6:30. I was so sleepy after lunch that I slept from 2-5. Thus, last night, I wasn't to sleep at 10:00 because I will be waking up at 5:00 .

It is said that coffee has the effect of keeping you awake until 8 hours. So, just make sure you drink it at that far from your sleeping time.
