You cannot make someone do what they should.
Medical complications.
ER again last night, but AT LEAST it was before we went to bed.
Calling urologist today, again.
Making some other calls perhaps.
We were going to go back to the urologist if hubby had problems, while we were in town at clinic. Hubby napped through the time it was open, by about five minutes. We could have gotten there and perhaps gotten helped there in Mac.
Or gone to ER in Mac.
Or stopped in ER in Marion on our way home.
Nope. Hubby was sure everything would normalize.
Hubby waited UNTIL I was in my pajamas, ready for bed, then decided we needed to go.
I am so ready for his body to start healing.
He has still lost weight this week.
I make him eat. He ate well yesterday.
I guess I am going to go make breakfast, so we both can eat when he gets up.

I have not had any ER trips for me since I was 21. I am glad. I am stubborn too, though.

@GardenGerty I had one two years ago, I badly burned my left hand with the oven in the evening. I did not want to go, but when the pain did not stop and my hand looked very bad, I decided to go.

@LadyDuck There were probably times as a young person I should have gone, but my family had no insurance or money. I do recall a serious burn. Those hurt incredibly.

@gardengerty Men and doctors don’t mix well. We prefer to suffer and complain a lot.

Going back and admitting to the doctor that something did not work out is hard.

Yes, we can be quite stubborn when it comes to going to doctors. We think everything will pass.

Nope, no waiting. Very small town so they are able to help quicker. Very knowledgeable staff as well. We were back home just past our bed time.

He has had to have catheters in off and on since May.due to rupturing a blood vessel. More and more since August. His bladder has gotten lazy, I think, and each time the catheter is removed, he does okay in office, but then cannot urinate later, then gets an infection or begins bleeding. I am sorry if that is a bit of tmi.

@GardenGerty You could be right, the bladder can be 'trained' to act in a certain way. I hope you manage to get it sorted.

Discussion with men are just on a need to know bases. If they don't need to know don't tell them.

Well, when it has to do with his body parts, he needs to know, and do what the doctor says.

Only like a pound. I had expected him to have at least gained a pound.

My dad would do that. He waited until evening to decide he was ready to go.

Right. I also failed to make note of what time the doctor was leaving McPherson. I should have made him get up and go.

Frustrating to have to rush to the ER but at least he acknowledged that he needed to go. Hope he gets back to better health

We are getting a new primary care.It is a pain to coordinate ALL of the doctors. I wish he had had this doctor before the cancer treatment, as I believe and so does Bob, that the cancer treatment is what has made him vulnerable to this problem. Over the years he has seen five different urologists.
