Songs of the Oldies

I'm an oldies girl, born in 1959 and spent my teenage years in the 70's. I'm still a huge Guess Who, Led Zeplin, John Mellencamp, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Three Dog Night and CCR fan. Those are only a few. There are so many more. I like some songs over the years and listen to some new including Country & Western.
My first husband (passed away) said I had a radio heart. I didn't watch a lot of TV, choosing to have the stereo going all the time. My kids remember me always having music on up until I married my now ex second husband. Lately I've been looking at stereos to put in my little cabin being built.
It's amazing how you can listen to a song and they can put you where you first heard it or bring back deep memories. I can't listen to Creedence Clearwater Revival and not think of Huntington Lake, CA where I spent every summer.
It would take too much time and space to put all the songs but here are a few 1970's I still listen to:
Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon
Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd
Time by Pink Floyd
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry
Stuck In The Middle With You by Stealers Wheel
I've Always Been Crazy by Waylon Jennings
Driving My Life Away by Eddie Rabbit
I'm a Stand By My Woman Man by Ronnie Milsap
Hungry Eyes by Merle Haggard
Slow Hand by Conway Twitty
Hey Loretta by Loretta Lynn
What are your favorite songs of the past?

We are the same age lol! I love most of those you mentioned but I would add Neil Young,CSNY, Carol King, James Taylor, Carly Simons, Don McClean, John Denver, America, Jim Croce, Dobbie Brothers a lot lot more. I missed my long hair, bell bottomed Levi's denims and wide collared printed shirts, going to parties and listening and learning to play the guitar

@noni1959 do you still have the projector? Lol. I have lots of Kodak film camera photos stored somewhere, it's funny when we look at it now, it was a great time, we all felt pretty or handsome and cool on those attires

@dave121495 It would be cool if James Corden would have him on carpool karaoke.

Radio heart huh? Interesting. I'm not a country fan. Love good rock though. I was born in 51.

I play oldie songs and not-so-recent ones in the car but we do not have the same play list. I more of the soft type of music. I have some John Denver Songs, Whitney Houston, Kenny G, Andy Williams, some jazz and local music too. I love The Carpenters too and the Bee Gees and some others which I can't remember all :)
