A nice weekend until I left my boyfriends

Saturday I saw we were out of hot cocoa mix so I used a recipe I found on Pinterest and made some for my son.
The boots I bought this summer for winter are not waterproof at all. In the meantime before I am able to shop for some I decided to try to coat them with Vaseline. Well I didn’t have any but I had A&D ointment. It didn’t help they are still soaking through and now they smell funny.
My daughters friend come over and they bundled up and walked to town. Crazy girls bought ice cream and brought it home to eat.
Her mother made a pumpkin roll cake and sent one to us with a little Happy Thanksgiving note. It was so thoughtful and yummy!
I made the girls pierogies for dinner. My daughters friend had never had them so when I asked if she liked them and wanted some for dinner she said sure. She hates potatoes and didn’t realize they had it in the center until she bit into them. So she are the edges and the rest was thrown away.
A few awesome things were I got a puppy chow sample in the mail from PinchMe, I got a $33.62 check from sendearnings and I received a $25 Amazon egiftcatd from Toluna. My daughter got an offer in her email for 3 months of Spotify premium for 99 cents so she used her allowance towards that and is really happy!
Today I went to my boyfriends house. He had a truck and so he didn’t even think about shoveling out the end of the driveway. I tried to pull up in and got stuck. I left it where it was as it was just off the road enough. We watched the 5th episode of Haunting of Hill House and hung out for a bit.
When I left I tried to back up and turn to go down the hill but I got caught on a dip and slid a bit. It did some damage but I thought it could be fixable.
He got in and got it rocking back and forth and floored it out of the dip it was stuck in. As he did it ripped the whole front of the bumper off. I was planning to go grocery shopping for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow but it’s not driveable like this. I’m a little stressed and looking forward to bedtime shortly.
Photo collage is a piece of the pumpkin roll cake, my van without the bumper, the hot cocoa mix and my boyfriends dog insisting on going for a ride with me after the bumper incident.

Oh wow, if it is not thing it is another! Is there anyone you know who could fix the bumper? This boyfriend..I am not sure..he sounds like a piece of work most of the time. You can't make a silk purse out a sow's ear.

@snowy22315 he is blaming it on my driving instead of the fact I never would have gotten stuck if he shoveled. He has a trucks so he drives right through it but my van is lower. I asked if I buy a new one if he will out it in and he said yes he will try. I called the salvage yard automotive place and they don't have any bumpers for my vans make and model I am borrowing my mom's car and going shopping today and stocking up a ton in case I can't get back out for a few weeks!

@snowy22315 we've broken up many times over the past 6 years . His choice all but once. We always wind up back together though. I love him more then I probably should. He and his son tend to be know it alls.
He messaged me and said my insurance may cover the cost of the bumper. I told him I only have state minimum and that anything you turn in raises the cost of the insurance. He wrote back "why do you have such crappy insurance you aren't a teenager anymore." My van is 16 years old and has a few problems it would be in fair or good condition. A vehicle that old is not worth having high insurance on.
I looked up the blue book value of it and sent him a screenshot. If I totaled it and it's in good condition and had full insurance it is only worth $263-$814. Why pay a lot per month (he pays $200 a month for us Chevy truck) when if you wreck it you won't even be able to get another one with that. Better to save my money and just pay for another vehicle if I do wreck this one.

@shaggin Honestly, it sounds like 90 percent of your problems are related to him. Maybe it is time to take a break and re evaluate. I am sure there are good things otherwise you wouldn't be in it, but sometimes the bad outweighs the good. I mean, if it isn't him it is his son, who doesn't sound like he is on a good path at all.

@cintol I called 2 auto salvage places within an hour drive and neither one had a front bumper for my old 2002 van My boyfriend said he looked on Amazon and I can get that part and all the fittings for $100. Next time he is over he will go on my Amazon account and order it. Then hopefully the following weekend he will have time to work on it for me.

@Tina30219 two Thanksgiving dinners that is awesome! Since the aren't on the same day you can eat as much as you want and not have to worry about saving enough room for the second one. Are you making anything to take to the dinners?

@kobesbuddy I made hot chocolate from a different recipe before where I melted chocolate in a pot on the stove. This was a powder mix that I can heat milk up in the microwave and spoon in the power to quickly make hot cocoa. I don't like milk so I won't try it. I didn't have regular creamer so I used hazelnut. My son said it had an odd taste to it but it was good. The odd taste I am sure is due to the hazelnut flavor.

@LadyDuck my son doesn't like potatoes either or pizza two foods which almost everyone loves. If it was my kids I would have ate the rest of the pierogies so they wouldn't go to waste gut she was not my child so I cant stomach eating after someone else's kids. I hate wasting food but I wouldn't make her eat something she didn't like.

@DianneN she is a pretty dog I was able to find a new bumper and all the fittings on Amazon last night for $100. I had enough gift cards in my account that it covered the cost of it. Would have much rather used those gift cards on something else though she he better shovel his darn driveway next time

@JudyEv There is a place about a half hour from me that you can go pull the parts off the cars and the prices are low. I could have gotten a bumper there this weekend for about $25 but it is so cold no ones going to want to be out there doing that with the vehicles covered in snow. There is a place next door that fixes cars and they take the parts off for you. It costs more but I will call them today and see how much a bumper would be from them. Hopefully not to much money.

@andriaperry my boyfriend was coming over for 2 hours later while his son was at archery practice. I knew I would be busy making dinner and eating so we wouldn't really have time to spend together so I went out there around noon. My son told me I shouldn't go since he will be coming here later anyway but I didn't listen. If I had known he didn't shovel his driveway and there was about a foot of snow to get stuck in I wouldn't have gone. He is at higher elevation so he always gets more snow then us. Now I'm stuck paying the cost for a bumper but at least he will put it on for me.
