So Many Mysteries

Just got a call from a scammer. Who knows how they get my number! Automated womans voice saying she could help with my student loan Seriously? I haven't been in school for 55 years.
The other mystery is I feel like from God. In our house we are completely out of money and things you need the money for Of course the government did not put my Social security check in on time. Sometimes I tend to put something back for myself, then forget it.
I suddenly thought I had put back a month ago 5 bucks for bread or gas or emergency
So I am checking every zipper and pocket in my little purse. I see what I thought was the five. Pull it out and folded up is two twenty dollar bills
I felt like God had put them there for us. So now we have money for bread and gas today.
Do you ever save something back then get pleasantly surprised when you find it again?

probably because it is near Christmas and people are so broke around this time. at least most of us are and some turn criminal over it. a person would have to be even more desperate to take advantage of poor people or any people for that matter. is all i can figure

@bunnybon7 I worked at a thrift store for a few years. One girl found 100 dollars in a pair of mens jeans. Our guess is they were a gift as the tags were still on them and someone hid the money in the pocket

@Courtlynn yes but sadly some get taken still. my grandsons girlfriend freaked out after getting a call about how the IRS was wanting more info of her to avoid prosecution. Luckily he was sitting near by and told her don't give them info. it's a scam it took him a couple hours to settle her down with her nerves.

When kids are on vacation they are bored so pick any number and dial it and somethings they want to get their kicks so keep dialing the number they found. lIt is very sad and people also pick random numbers.

Great find. I have saved things back and then find them later. Not often enough do I find money though.

I've gotten those automated student loan calls too. I got out of college many, many years ago - and I never even had a student loan! Ohhhh, you certainly found the treasure stash - it saved the day today ! Reminds me of when I was a kid . . . I guess I put in some dollar bills in a pencil case and forgot about it. While looking through one of my bins, my little sister opened the pencil case and claimed she found a lot of money. Of course it was mine, but my mom made me give half to my sister (me for not minding my money, her for finding it).

These calls puzzle me. Somehow, just about anyone can connect the dots and learn what you own and where you are.
We were told in some states (Yours included) info from the DMV is available to the general public. However, your phone number is not supposed to be shared.
Finding a bit of stashed cash is a wonderful thing! Hope you find more.

@bunnybon7 I had totally forgot that I had put money there. When I wore the boots I thought they were extremely uncomfortable, I checked inside and I found the money.
