hi everyone,
I see a number of stories on television about a tradition of getting married at a young age,
I think why marriage at a young age is made a tradition ...
they married at the age of ten,
precisely this tradition is in southern Sulawesi, Indonesia,
they always held the tradition of getting married at a young age of ten years,
like the picture I shared above ...
a 10-year-old boy marries a 12-year-old child.
I don't think it's good to get married at a young age because they're still not old enough.
do you think it's good for them to get married at a young age?
and whether they can provide for their families?
How about you about marriage at a young age?

Child marriage practiced in our place too before many years. However, this practice has stopped by Law. In that time, 'tying knot' then children will stay with their parents. They just want to sure that these children will get marry formally when they grown enough.

I think parents used to match their child then. I think it is not a good tradition since love should be freely felt.

@leny34 They have no other choices I think. Maybe if we look truly in their hearts, their hearts speaks or ask Why?

I do not want to get married at that time. They are still very immature at that age and they would have to depend on their parents to support them. I think that age is supposed to be spent on study and play not marriage. By the time they get matured they would be very tired from their duties as husband and wife and being a parent to their children in case they will bear children at a young age.

I don`t think of a marriage when I was 10yrs old. I got married very late. I guess I really don`t believe in a very early marriage because they are too young to face of a marriage life

I am against children getting married, especially if they marry adults.

It's a recipe for disaster no matter where you look at it.

Here that kind of marriages are not allowed. You can only get married if you are 18 or older. In the past it was possible to get married if you were under 18, but you needed a special permission. That has been abolished.

@leny34 I think that they are too young to get married. Here 10-year-olds aren't able to make big decisions with their parents' permission. They can't sign any documents.

I think most states in the US need parental permission under the age of 18, I would never let my child marry as young as these in the picture. They are children and should remain children until they are out of school. What do little ones like this know of marriage and taking care of families, none of them should be forced to grow up before their time.

@anya12adwi no, because there is no compulsion in doing that, only they will not be able to get the marriage documents until they are old enough to get them

They are too young for marriage. I think marriage is for adults not teenagers like them and they are not so much into teenage too, they are still children.

@leny34 Yeah, it used to happen in some tribes of my country but in our case, the man would be much older and marrying a a child. The man usually has other wives yet takes the child to be his third or fourth wife.

Some traditions are not applicable now, it is being prohibited by laws now. Some traditions should be terminated because it is very harsh.

@ilocosboy maybe the child is underage if the marriage is stopped, because in my opinion they still want to play and enjoy their childhood
