Other Than Worms....

One of our MyLot friends wrote a discussion about a Christmas present he might like. A worm bed for fertilizer.
It reminded me of that time when I tried to make a worm bed. I ended up killing all of the worms. I guess they don't need that much water.
Then I started wondering: How many other things have died by my "hands"?
Well, countless house plants. I am pretty sure one of my plastic plants even withered up and turned brown.
There were the goldfish. Ah, the goldfish. Turns out, some fish like to eat them. (Sorry Goldie and Whoopberg.) Oscar lived a long fish life though, on fish food alone after that.
Oh yeah, Shelly! Shelly was a hermit crab we got when we went to the beach when I was about 7 or 8. The sales lady didn't inform me that Shelly wouldn't survive on lettuce. Stoopid sales lady.
The saddest one was Bo. Bo was a parakeet I lovingly named after Bo on Dukes of Hazzard. I had ran out of his food, and since people were always giving Pollys crackers, I thought it would be okay to give Bo a cracker. (Or three) When I came home from school that day, poor Bo was beak down in his cage. Too much salt I presume.
Since this is no way near the end of the list, as I am remembering more each minute, I have come to the conclusion that I am the reaper for animals. Or, I WAS. I am much better now.
Anyway, the moral of the story was supposed to be: Other people's worm discussions can bring about memories that you might can turn into a discussion!
Thanks @xFiacre !
pic is mine. Apple is dead now.

I know. I wouldn't intentionally hurt anything if I could help it.

@LadyDuck I try to shoo them out first, and only kill as a last resort, Flies, that is. Mosquitoes get no sympathy from me.

@DianneN When I was little, the neighborhood stray cats would find me, and I got to pet some of them in time.

you are not to blame - you tried your best and circumstances were not on your side

You can have a worm bed to raise more worms to sell to fishermen, or you can use the compost (poop) for fertilizer. OR, you could probably do both. @amadeo
