Looks like the floodgates are starting to open!
I just read a news story about a man named Emile Ratelband who feels like he is 20 years younger than he is. He says that when he tells women his true age (69) they want no part of him. Since he feels young and, as he says, "like a god", he tried to convince the courts that his age should legally be changed to 49.
“I feel young, I am in great shape and I want this to be legally recognized because I feel abused, aggrieved and discriminated against because of my age.” - Ratelband
The courts disagreed with Mr. Ratelband and said it would basically cause too much trouble with documentation to change his age and that it would cause negative future legal "implications".
Playing devil's advocate, in a world where if one feels they were born the wrong gender they can change their birth certificates and surgically alter their bodies, why shouldn't a person be allowed to change their age if they identify as a younger person? Or older, for that matter?
I'm of the opinion that we should accept who we are and who God created us to be. Still, I can't help but laugh as more and more people claim to "identify" as a rich person when they're poor, a tall person if they're short, and a young person if they're old. The list can go on and on...when will the madness stop?

As an aside, here's a funny video of a 5'9" white man trying to convince random strangers that he is a 6'5" Chinese woman. In it, he asks what people would think if he said he was seven years old...and should he be allowed to attend first grade if he were to believe that he was a child:

Does it seem a double standard to allow us to legally change some aspects of our lives and not others?

I have one word for this situation: stupid. The world has completely turned upside down. On the other hand, I am tempted to identify as a 34 year old babe. Too bad I can't pull it off.

I agree with you, if God wants us to be a different age we would be another age.

I read the story and just laughed! I am 82 and love it! And I don't feel "abused, aggrieved and discriminated against because of my age.” -
