It is a myth that baking soda (or sodium bicarbonate) will help you lose weight. Although a little is certainly not harmful, the regular quantities these 'recipes' suggest could upset your natural stomach acidity and harm your digestion.

And with all the baking soda remedies you'll fart like crazy too. It's a bit embarrassing on a date with that hunk you've been lusting after and you think you can sneak a small silent one out and it comes out like a bomb!

You need to go at losing those extra pounds at a reasonable intelligent manner. Yes it's horrible to be overweight, but drinking things like vinegar and baking soda aren't going to do it...it'll give you horrific gas (the farts) but as for losing weight it will do a lot more damage than it helps you.
First, eat more fruit and veggies. They are low cal (leave off the high calorie dressings and sugars) and will keep you full longer. Keep fruits around to snack on when you feel the urge to eat between meals.
Next get more exercise. Not the boot camp stuff of sit ups and push ups, it gets dull and boring quickly and you quit. Ride your bike, walk, jog any kind of physical activities that will wear off the calories and that equals fat. If nothing else see if there is an exercise program on TV that might interest you.
I learned when I was in Thailand that the Asian way of cooking was very slimming. I went from a size 14 to a size 7 in 5 months...that's a lot of fat! But I assumed their diet and I walked most everywhere I went. I also drank lots of water.
Finally, if you haven't been over eating you might check with your doctor. It could be something wrong in your system that is causing the weight gain. DON'T try to lose a lot of weight in a couple of weeks!!! All you'll do is make yourself sick. Go at it sensibly and sanely and without all the different "home remedies". I remember as a kid we would run my Mom out of baking soda and vinegar when we made our rockets. We would mix the two in the bottle, put the cork in and shake the bottle real hard and toss it in the yard. That thing would fly 30 feet in the air!!! If it can launch a bottle and blow the cork out the end, think of what it is doing to your system.

@Genipher Actually I wasn't eating that much fat. I also ate a lot of rice. When we did have meals done in fat they were done in less than a teaspoon of fat and I think it was peanut oil.
Thank you for the images! Now I am visualizing people sailing around in trees and up the sides of buildings (waving in the office windows) from drinking the baking soda and vinegar...now if they combine it with broccoli they can really reach some heights!!!

Before you use the tips here, check with your doctor!!! There are some medications that you can't use baking soda or vinegar with. Besides it's always smart to check with your doctor before starting a diet. Dieting is very hard on your body and you need to know that your body is up to the challenge.

A few years back my husband lost about 100 pounds just from removing flour and sugar from his diet. All flours and all types of sugar (honey, agave, syrup, etc).
If you remove processed foods and eat meats, veggies, fruits, and a small amount of grains you can lose weight in a healthy manner.

Instead you contact to any dietician who will prescribe you a weight loss diet after necessary blood check ups. Don't rely on such online stuff.

Early in the morning do yoga. Best poses in yoga are those that target the following parts of the body such as- stomach, thigh, hips etc. You can also see some youtube videos that can help you to practice some yoga poses that can have an effect on you immediately after a week or two.

Only one way to lose weight. Burn more calories than you take in... No mystery there. The only way any of those drinks work is if it tastes so bad it makes you not want to eat.
