Don’t laugh! I have cooked my entire life, but now only cook when we have guests.
My husband and I love going out and trying new restaurants, especially those that have live music. If not that, my husband orders dinner from restaurants and either picks them up or has them delivered right to our door. Sometimes he actually cooks and is getting to be quite the sous chef!
Well, I decided to make short ribs and fresh steamed asparagus. Everything was delicious and compliments were sent to the chef! . I even got a few kisses and a huge hug. I may cook more often.
What have you eaten for dinner?

That sounds good! My husband usually does the cooking here but I do now and then when he doesn't want to or when I have a special meal in mind. :)

I have no doubt the chef did a great job on the meal . I know you can cook - but hey, life is sure a lot easier when you can eat out! We haven't had dinner yet . . . but it's a toss up between Thai glass noodle soup or taco salad! Orville !

Glad it turned out good.

@DianneN I know you can take my silly 8 year old sense of humour! I am sure your cooking is much more cordon bleu as opposed to gawd on bluerghhh!

I just enjoy cooking. I don't mind eating out. But it is just too expensive, and frankly, I find my food to be better. I am biased of course. But who am I to knock it? If that is what you enjoy and it is not breaking the bank, and you have the health to be able to eat what is mostly unhealthy food out...go for it. Short ribs and asparagus DOES sound FANTASTIC though.

Lol! We eat at healthy type restaurants and usually, not always, order fresh fish, not frozen. That’s what helps us stay healthy. Not to knock what you said, but, we dine at fine restaurants. No fast food for us unless it’s from a great pizza restaurant or Five Guys. Tonight we’re having soup and rushing out to a concert.

@DianneN I think you would be surprised if you looked at the nutritional values a lot of this 'fine dining' is just as unhealthy. I looked at a few places and was blown away at how much these fine establishments were just as unhealthy as fast food. I have been doing quite a lot of research since my salt restriction and the data floors me.

Compliments to the chef! I'm sure you got one hell of a compliment from him. Makes me thing of the compliments given in the kitchen! Sorry, I'm having this crazy thoughts in my mind.

Hugs and kisses are the best tip that a chef can get. I enjoy them a lot especially from my children and so I am always ready to cook.
I can see Orville clear in this picture.
