Two Different People

I grew up in a deep gutter.
Warm-hearted boy with an intense stutter.
Put everyone's feelings above my own.
Didn't pursue my own desires, that's why I'm so alone.
Never get to show what my heart exposes.
I hope I find love before my heart decomposes.
I want a girl that loves me for me, even though she's a ray of sunlight and the smell of tulips in people's noses.
And I create dark skies and a field of black roses.
Her heart is like a beautiful house that lights up every time someone approaches.
She still loves me even though my heart is like an abandoned asylum that's filled with rats and cockroaches.
Our love is always in battle, advancing to difficult stages.
Sometimes read each other wrong, but always on the same pages.
My temper may rise, and she may have dramatic rages.
But our love still has us locked down, we're songbirds in steel cages.
We try to be the first one to make each other smile, having love races.
I'll follow her anywhere, never mind the places.
I'll stay by her side no matter what dangers she faces.
No matter what religion she embraces.
No matter what evil she chases.
We're two different people, but the connection is real.
I had a lock on my heart, but somehow she broke the seal.

Good days are knocking at your door. Just open the door and welcome that girl. Time flies. Open your eyes and look everywhere. May be she is very near to you and you can't recognise her.
