I remember reading a theory (forgot which book it was) which claimed that Jesus was probably born sometime during the September, not December because it would be too cold for the shepherds to graze their sheep outside.
I can't remember why September, though.

As far as I remember, the Jesus' birthdate wasn't exact. However, it was well-known on 25th of December.
You can check this link.
Although millions of people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Dec. 25, most scholars agree that he wasn't born on that day, or even in the year 1 A.D.

I agree with some of the other myLotters that it really isn't important the date of Christ's birth, but the fact that God really did send His Son to be born.
