@Loriejane22 It's okay. At least we celebrate a day of giving and loving during Christmas day.

@Nevena83 The Orthodox Church celebrates January 7, the Catholic Church on December 25, but no one knows the 100% date. The date was not found in the canonical and non-canonical books.

I remember reading a theory (forgot which book it was) which claimed that Jesus was probably born sometime during the September, not December because it would be too cold for the shepherds to graze their sheep outside. I can't remember why September, though.

If Christ was not born on 25th December, then why the day is celebrated as Christmas? Ask them.

As far as I remember, the Jesus' birthdate wasn't exact. However, it was well-known on 25th of December. You can check this link.
Although millions of people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on Dec. 25, most scholars agree that he wasn't born on that day, or even in the year 1 A.D.

It can't be in winter, because the shepards wont be on the hillside at that time.. it has to be in spring.. but dates are only comomeration of an event.. the faith is what is important.

I agree with some of the other myLotters that it really isn't important the date of Christ's birth, but the fact that God really did send His Son to be born.
