It was a chilly evening when Mary and Joseph took shelter in the stable and Jesus was born. The animals knowing that this was God's son willing gave what was needed to make him welcome and comfortable
Little lamb watched as the cows gave their manger with clean hay for him to sleep, she wonder what she could give, knowing as she watched him lay there what to do.
She crawled into manger and gently snuggled next to him him with her small body letting her wool give him warmth and knew it was accepted as Jesus and Mary smiled at her.

what a wonderful story. it's like the little drummer boy. it can be a children's story, but it actually applies to us all.

The best gift thus for someone to give is a feeling of comfort and warmth to the person.

I agree with the others, Mary. This is a lovely story you wrote for the challenge.
i like that you wrote something related to the first Christmas.
I thought I'd check out some of the others with the tag you used, but if the rest did use a tag it's not the same one.

I'd invite Jesus, Mary and the disciples into my barn and let them sleep or ??? It would be a fun experience to have them all in my barn with the barn animals...
