When I was young, every pupil or student needs to have a 'parol' as their school project. I must admit that I am not good at it. I need to beg someone to do this for me. There is one time that I was forced to do it. For the reason that the teacher requires us to create it in the classroom. Eventually, it was a good feeling to have a star-shaped Christmas lantern for the first time. These local lanterns will be the decorations in our classroom and bring home before the Chrismas vacation.
"Do you do school project like this?"
"Do you like Christmas lanterns in your house?"

@jobelbojel In my city, it wasn't that popular. I feel the fascination when being in the province. Because I can see 'parols' hanging in front of their houses.

@m_audrey6788 Same here. My classmates during my primary and secondary school are my brothers and sisters. Unfortunately, we don't see each other anymore.

I learned to make one during school time; yes, I always made sure we hang a parol (lantern) in front of our home!
