LOL I am sure that got some peoples attention..perverts lol
If you were at someones house or a resturant and had a bite of the food and it was so incredibly disgusting, would you spit it out and force it down. If it was a friends house would you tell them you hated the meal?

How could you spit on the napkin if they are infront of you then say to them that you like the meal. As for me maybe I would try if I can swallow it or excuse myself in the bathroom. The greater challenge is how you handle the food left on your plate!

I had this happen when I was a teenager. I was at an adult friend's house and she was drunk when she made the potatoe salad and she left eggshells in it. When I bit into the eggshells, it was so disgusting, and it went, CRUNCH, CRUNCH, CRUNCH and my stomach was turning. I discreetly picked up my paper napkin and quietly spit the eggshells into it. Her husband still noticed and asked me about it, though, and they ended up throwing the potatoe salad away. It was quite embarassing. If it were just nasty tasting food, I had that happen very recently. My aunt made white chicken chili and it tasted like it had lots of dish soap in it. After a few bites, I knew I just could not choke it down, so I pretended to be full and pawned it off on my husband. He liked it.

I'd pick up my napkin and quietly spit the food into the napkin and place it back on the table. If it was a friend, I'd tell them that I wasn't much for that type of food and leave it at that.

If I was out for dinner I would spit it out.If I was a friends house I would politely tell that I could not eat anymore and that I was full.

I couldn't. I would chew and if they weren't looking I would spit it out on a napkin. Or if I couldn't do that, I would take a gulp of water. Then I would play around with the dish, not taking another bite but trying to make it look like I did.

LOL I spent the night at a friends house and they were vegetarians. They had some fake meat and it wasn't like a normal veggie burger. Omg I was eatting the burger and it was so disgusting but I felt rude to not eat so I ate small bites trying to be nice by eatting the food. But guess what after that night I never spent the night over there again I made her spend the night with me.... LOL

I think I will say excuse me and run for the bathroom pretend I chuckled or something :) if I can't do that or if the host is waiting to see the effect of the taste on me I will just have to force it down and eat something/drink to wash away the taste, I would say that I don't like it much or something but wouldn't say it's terrible.

LOL! You are right, your topic certainly got my attention rather quickly! *laugh* What a tough question. For me, it would be too hard not to be polite and at least swallow the bite of food that I had already taken. The friend in question would have to be an awfully close friend for me to admit to them that I thought that the food was awful.

I have had this experience and it so hard to spit the food out in a napkin especially when the host/hostess is watching you or even trying to talk to you. So I swallowed it and immediately took a bite of something more pleasurable and drank a lot of liquid! I am not the kind of person to tell anyone I HATED their cooking but I will be the first to say I was not fond of it! Just a nice way of saying please do not serve that to me again. LOL

Well, that was some title. LOL! My mind went straight to the gutter. No surprise there!
Anyway, if I was at a friends house, I'd probably either force it down, or spit it in a napkin without anyone looking. Suddenly, I'd become sick, and would have to go home. Erm, I'd have to lie so I wouldn't have to finish it. It hasn't happened yet, but watch it happen now that I'm discussing it. I have the greatest luck! NOT!
As far as the restaurant: I've been known to spit it right out on my plate because I was so shocked in how disgusting it was. I'll call the waitress over and tell her or him, and that I want something different, or the meal prepared the way I ordered it.
