Dance like no-one is watching

We took a boat trip in Mandurah, Western Australia, to look at the decorated houses that line the canals there. Because we wanted to be able to sit on the top deck near the front, we got to the pier quite early. No sooner had we arrived than three young girls set up their gear and entertained us with their singing. They were very good with true harmonies and clear, strong voices.
They had no sooner started singing than one of those waiting decided to get in on the action and began to dance to the music. He seemed an ordinary sort of guy out to have a bit of fun but he brought a smile to everyone’s face. When he stopped everyone gave him a big cheer.
Are you able to dance like no-one is watching or are you a bit more inhibited?

@jstory07 being of two cultures Latvian and American I got my dancing started in Latvian balls which Latvian organization hosted so it began with ballroom dancing and with everyone on the floor no problem. Then I bopped my way through the disco craze in NYC and dancing just sort of became my thing.

I'm too shy to dance like no one is watching. Well I can dance if only there's only one person watching... my wife.

@ilocosboy Look on the bright side. It's good that you can make her laugh.

@JudyEv see the picture was a bit blurred.... because you were shaking your booty (a little) while you were taking this picture.

I don't know how to dance, but when persuaded to do so like in friends or relatives' parties, I just sway a little just for fun!

@JudyEv My parents use to take ballroom dancing lessons and sometimes I would go with them when I was a young teen. The dance instructor would take me up there with him and show the students that if the person leading the dance is doing it right the partner will follow. I was a young teen then and from that time on I have never stopped dancing. You should see all the people here in our community that are on the dance floor all night long when we have any parties or holidays. One guy was 90 something and recently had a heart operation and he was dancing the entire night and his wife couldn't keep up with him.
