Same situation, different thinking.

I read this in one of my emails this morning and I thought it worth a share. How and what you think makes all the difference to how you experience things in life. “A puppy thinks: “Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a warm, dry home, pet me and take good care of me… THEY MUST BE GODS!” A kitten thinks: “Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a warm, dry home, pet me and take good care of me… I MUST BE A GOD!” They are experiencing the same situation, but they are having a different experience because of their different thinking. Something worth pondering on. That must be why dogs have owners and cats have staff lol...

@maggs224 One hour ago (7 in the morning) I opened the door to check outside and the younger kitten run inside, went to the kitchen in front of my refrigerator meowing like a crazy. I am glad that I always keep cat food at home. He is outside playing with the others now.

hi Anna, my daughter has three cats all of them rescue cats and one dog. The cats pretty much rule the roost between them even though the dog is much larger than they are.

I love watching kittens when they are really little as they explore and play with one another. I like their independence

I've only had one cat and it came and went as it pleased and it didn't like being fussed at all. Since then we have only had dogs lol...

@crazyhorseladycx I am just going back through a few of my old posts to see if there are any comments that I haven't reponded to and I found this one. One of these days Sue and I are going to get round to coming to yours so we can sit by your water feature with you and enjoy watching life go by and experience the wonder of nature.

I love it! Our cat really does have staff. He sits by "his" plant and yells for the dish under it to be filled. He better never see the bottom of his food dish! This reminds me of my brothers eating my mom's shortbread. One said, "Delicious, it just melts in my mouth." The other said, "Yuck, is it supposed to just crumble to flour in my mouth!?"

Your brother's comments confirm that Shakespeare was right when he wrote "for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so:"

I understand. I have seen the innocence in the eyes of the dogs.
