Belting it out

Air travel is fast and at times feels like a short hop. If you are the type that immediately falls asleep then the destination seems to be just a nap away.
Having said that, there are places which require patient waiting at the airport. One such is the baggage claim area where the belt slowly revolves as your baggage makes it's way to you.
People use ribbons on their luggage to mark it out from the crowd of similar looking baggage. And wait to swoop over it as it goes past .
That was it. Till a few years ago. Now airports are being made to look beautiful in addition to other facilities.
The tubs of poinsettias at the baggage carousel are a sight to behold. Another thing to look at other than your suitcase

I always find my luggage is among the last to come out on an airport carousel

i noticed the poinsettias immediately. i wouldn't even mind if they're fake. it brightens things up. or maybe because it's christmas? are those christmas trees hanging from the ceiling?
i love the purple luggage.

Wow, I found a post I've not visited before although there are probably plenty of them. I'm here for a bit hanging with those I've not seen or spent time with in a while. I try to stop in to stay somewhat caught up, but I think I'm missing some notifications even then.
The flowers are pretty, but it'd people are looking at them instead of the bags they may be there longer than needed.
I also just remembered I was going to look for some of your plane, or was it train posts.

@responsiveme that sounds wonderful that you're both in closer proximity now. Any trips take can maybe be done together for awhile.

Thank you for coming back to read this.
As you say people should not get caught up gazing at the flowers.
It is nice catching up.on my lot when you have time. I have been very busy these last two months.
College and shifting houses.
Glad to let you know hubby got his transfer back and now we both have moved back to our old township

@responsiveme It does save time, but there's no way I could travel for a week or more with a little suitcase.

You can't win them all
Carry on luggage is a good idea for short trips.

Yes, they fixed up our airport and it is very big and beautiful. I do not leave the country or travel by plane so I have only seen it in pictures.

I have been in and out of several airports, mostly joining package tours where the travel agents have taken care of the luggage a real blessing. A few times when we have been on our own, yes, waiting to clear the baggage is quite a hassle specially if you have fogotten the colour of your baggage as it happened to me once (lol)

It is a real struggle for people waiting at the luggage claim area. But the site of the plant is the one that can ease the boredom. These are real plants right? Not plastic?

It is a nice carousel, but you have to be attentive to look at your baggage too!
