I just came across my Resolutions from this year. We write ours up and share them News Years Day with each other. I have not looked at it since, but it was on my desk under a bill. I think I am doing okay, but not great with them so far. They are:
Drink more water, I am going to have to reset this one and start again today. I really have not had any days this year that I got in all the water I was suppose to.
Take a relaxing bubble bath once a month, I still have the rest of the month to go.
Date my husband once a month, we are planning on going out this Saturday for his birthday to his favorite restaurant.
Get my 12,500 steps a day, even when I am not feeling well. So far so good, I have gotten my steps every day this month. Even passed my goal a few days.
See the bottom of my chest freezer, working on that one still.
Stress less, I am a work in progress.
Have more fun period! Working on that one too, but I think I am off to a good start.
Hug more! (we call always use more hugs anyway)
So how are you all doing on yours so far this year?? Have a beautiful day!

@mom210 I try to move around when I am at home. But when at work it is a bit difficult because my job requires me to sit on the computer the whole day - i.e. 8 hours at a stretch. I do try and take a walk in between but sometimes I get so engrossed in my work that I forget to take the walk.

@mayka123 you should talk to them about getting a standing desk. My husband got one at work and it has really helped him out, keeping him more active during the day. He has an 1.5 hour commute, so between sitting all day and commuting he was not getting any steps. Now his count is up by mine. Plus he takes a break every hour to walk around the office

Yes, it is really tough to drink as much water as we really need. It is something we have to really work hard at for sure. A lot of time we can add steps just by thinking about it a bit more. Times when are are standing still, we can be moving.

Have you looked into essential oils or herb teas to help you feel better? One of the things I got for Christmas was a necklace you put the oil in and can sniff throughout the day. I chose one that helps with energy, maybe it is all in my head, but seems to help.

@bunnybon7 Oh no, I did not think about that. I am so sorry. Is there anything they can do to help you?

I have NOT met my step goal. I try to, but I am really out of shape and exhausted. I keep trying anyway.

@spiderdust Yes it is, I find myself standing while we do school, while we watch TV and movies, while watching kids at their activities. I pace around the soccer field, around the gym at gymnastics, I have found I only need enough room to take two to three steps back and forth. I think most people think I am nutty and have some kind of nervous condition but that is okay.

@mom210 I usually meet 3000, but not 5000 (which I'm really trying to do). I'd love to get to 10,000/day, but it's hard to get that much spare time to get those extra steps in.

I am happy you are working on your resolutions. At least, you are doing them even little by little.
I don't have resolutions, but I am trying my best to exercise everyday in the morning, for at least 15 minutes. So far so good, I exceed the 15 minutes because I added some exercises that really makes my heart pump well.

I had a man laughing at me at the gas station last night. I drive a big van with a big tank, so it takes a good 5 minutes to fill up. While it was pumping I decided to get in a few steps and was stepping on and off the step where the pumps are. He walked by and yells "get it girl" to me we laughed and chatted a few minutes.

Walking is best for our health; it is one thing that I always wanted to do to kick off my day! But at times could not do it due to some obstructions. Congrats on your achievements!
