Normally that would have been the plan. This year is going to be much tamer as I have a six month old son, that I need to be capable of looking after. He is more important to me than getting blind and not remembering the night. Probably going to have a few friends over to my house and have a few quiet drinks. Nothing major. How bout you?

I, like you am a grown up now and have people in my life more important than myself, so i too will be staying home, maybe have a coctail at midnight and shoot the shotgun out the door ( we live in the country so don't worry we won't shoot anyone!!!) and then to bed i'm sure!!!

Yeah isn't that the truth, unfortunately a few years ago a car load of kids hit a telephone pole right in front of my mothers house and we happened to be there, my husband went out to help and to this day he would really rather not talk about it, however i will tell you what happened so if it even saves one person reading this it was worth writing, the car sheared off the phone pole in the middle of the pole and the pole was on top of a hill they were drunk and "hill hopping" and went airborn, the car was on its roof and the passenger was upside down with what was left of the pole embedded into his head. The driver was alive, and talking gibberish while my husband, father, and brother tried to calm him and get a door open, after the ambulances took away the deceased boy and the driver a tow truck came for the car and when they flipped it over a girl fell out of the back of the car, no one even knew she was there, she had literally been smashed flat in the backseat. This is what can happen people, don't let it happen to you.

I may or may not go out New Year's Eve. The majority of the past New Years I've stayed home and toasted in the New Year with a scotch or some other such drink when the ball falls and the whistle blows. I prefer to stay home for just in case earlier I decide to have more than one drink I will not be on the road endangering myself or other people lives.

You are a responsible, intelligent person!!! I too agree with that, why put yourself or others in danger over a coctail!!! Like i have said before i am a homebody, it is the safest place to be on a night like New Years!!!
