The morning after the night before

The concert has been and gone. The weather stayed warm and balmy and the duo was well received by the audience. We have had these people before. They don’t have any dietary hang-ups which is great but when we mentioned what time they’d like dinner, they decided they’d skip it and ‘have something later’. This is always on the cards but it would be nice if they’d let us know beforehand if they won’t be wanting dinner. In the end Tony had a small helping and we now have leftovers for at least a few days. After the show, eight of us sat on the verandah until well after midnight having a few wines and some nibbles. Vince’s brother and his wife slept in our caravan and two close friends stayed overnight in the other spare room. They have just come back from a fantastic trip to the Baltic regions. After a big cooked breakfast, they all left about 10 am. The temperature was already climbing into the high 30s (Centigrade) by that time but we took down the stage lights before heading for the cool house. We’ll do a bit more packing up tonight when it gets cooler. And I hate to admit but Vince’s photo is better than mine although mine did show the full moon as well. His is a composite of two photos. We have two big lights which shine on the trees and are multiple colours which Vince can control from down below. There are also twinkling laser lights which operate from a little box which sits on the roof of the Shack. But mostly these little lights don’t show up in photos.
