For No Particular Reason

MyLot Exclusive #125 For no particular reason, save for my Time Lord job description which requires me to transport you hapless, helpless and pitiful Earthlings back to a happier epoch from time to time (Full Disclosure: It wasn't a happier time in many respects. In fact, it was more dreadful in a lot of ways unless you focus on key selected areas, one of which is the one I'm about to show you but company rules say I can't tell you that, so I won't). As a further disclosure, I might say that being a Time Lord is really more of a hobby for me, rather than something I devote a lot of serious effort to, but that would only upset my superiors so I won't say it. But who cares about disclosures and what I am and am not saying? No one! So let's get to the one big reason we are gathered here tonight. We are here, generally, to be transported to the magical year of 1976 and, specifically, to a live performance by Linda Ronstadt. I know that some of you have never heard of Linda or the song she's about to sing and you people are the ones I admire most. You only get to hear this for the first time once in your life. I trust you'll make the most of it. For everyone else, you're welcome. But don't thank me. Bringing back great memories is just what I do. Thank you for the time travel! I didn't know that was one of your hobbies, but it shouldn't surprise me

You're welcome. And yeah, I love time travel. I do it all the time and some people say it's a problem but it's not. I could quit anytime I wanted!

@FayeHazel You sound like my boss. He always complains about paradoxes and preserving known history (Which is the bigger deal. If you screw up and kill your grandparents before you're born, it's so horribly complicated that Nature just shrugs and says, fine, you're still alive even though you were never born and you don't even notice a difference) and the time and money it takes to fix them. And it he just won't let it go. Like a couple of years ago, I was selling greeting cards in Nazi Germany (Greeting Cards Salesman is my main job) and things went wrong...It wasn't my fault...and Germany won the war. It polluted 75,000 different timelines, including this one but it only took 16 months to clean up and all civilian's memories were adjusted and now it's like it never even happened and yet The Chief still yells about it. It's unfair.

Bill and Art wrote so many plays, I can't keep'em straight, either. I didn't know Linda did any Broadway. It seems like something she should have mentioned but I guess it slipped her mind.
