Do You Safekeep Something In a Place Then, Forgot Where That Place is?

I think , for those more than 50 year- olds here , are familiar to this situation already. You see, I removed the SD card from my phone when it cannot show my files anymore. I kept it in one of storage things in our bedroom, so I can in my spare time, take out some big files I don’t need anymore through my netbook. However, I remembered it after more than 4 months , when I have to transfer a lot of pictures from my mobile phone already. The sad thing is no matter how I searched for it at various storing places in the bedroom , I cannot locate it anymore no matter how many times I searched for it. Hubby said, he doesn’t even know I stored it. Now, I plan to just buy a new SD card with a bigger storage ability so I can transfer all my stored pictures from the laptop of my office laptop and also the pictures from my phone. Can you relate with me also?

I do this time by time. I have something in my hands, I put somewhere while I am busy and I forget where I put them.

Well, in your case that is what is expected because you are doing two things at a time and you are busy with another.

One time, when we had a meeting at home, the husband immediately sped off on his motorcycle after the meeting. After driving for about half a kilometer, he remembered that he had left his wife behind. All the rest were teasing the wife when he sped off telling her that her husband might have been in a hurry to pick up someone else LOL!

That was so funny of him indeed. He left his wife! I wouldn't wonder , that it would be what would be teased of him, when he left his wife. I would think the same too, if I were his wife.

@sunrisefan i don't have any socmed accounts, but i have dropbox, which i haven't logged into for a long time. how long do portable drives last? do you take it along with you, or do you keep it at home?

You can also upload immediately the photos to your FB account and set it to be viewable only by you if you prefer it. As for me, after transferring photos from my camera to my Macbook, I usually back them up immediately (or after several albums) to my portable drive.

@hereandthere I do not know how long portable drives last. I keep it at home. I have a Dropbox too but ,one time, I deleted all my file there fearing that they might be at risk. Also, there was a time that I was worried that they might suddenly stop.

@SIMPLYD . Oh, no! I wasn't thinking when I cut a slice out of a lemon a few days ago. I wrapped it and must have thrown in in the trash. I had to buy another one yesterday to replace it. How dumb can we be?

It is common for people who are getting older; they say it is "senior moment" though I think you are not a senior citizen yet.

I am nearing it actually. On December, I am actually a senior citizen already. My HS batchmates all have this already. Now, I have joined them in this already.

I can relate many ways. I am still below 50 but memory is not good with me. Recently we shifted house and hubby given many things to keep under safe custody. I given it back some but on some items I can't recollect where I kept. The workers shifted things so it was difficult for me to locate bundles. One of my friend shared her story. her hubby kept the documents of their house in a secret place as safe, later he could not recollect where he kept later they applied for duplicate with spending money. So you are not alone.

Well, when one is always busy and in a hurry, or is multi-tasking that it is understandable. So, that is natural on your part. But when older than 50, I think that's part of aging already.

Well, I can assure that it is just but natural to forget something when you are multi-tasking. When one is multitasking he can be good in one but on the other no. So, to forget the thing on the other task is just but natural to a multitasker or busy with another.

Yes, not exactly sd in other cases. Any other things can get "lost" when we remember it already. Though, you are just 38 to be "losing" some things, indeed.

Yes, I have done that. And my husband does it with keys when we go away. We have to search everywhere to find the keys to his motorbike, etc. when we get home! The other morning I could not find my car keys. I had to use my husband's and get to work. I found them in a pair of boots at the front door. Then I remembered, I put them there to carry stuff in to the house on Friday. I meant to hang them up once I got inside. By Monday I forgot all about it and they were still in the boots. If only I had worn the same boots on Monday, I would have discovered them!
