Why do people attend events late

I think the reasons can be many. Some reasons are-
1. Busy work life : some people have a very hectic work schedule which makes them reach late.
2. On the person's mood- some people just dont like to mingle alot.
3. Assumption about others presence

I used to be an on-time person but due to waiting a lot, I become one of them but still just a little late in time.

I hate being late in an event,.. hehe.. my friend are the one who is always late, like 2 hour late because according to her, its traffic, she woke up late, wash the dishes at home and etc.. she has many reasons..
