How many pairs of shoes do you have?

MyLotter Teddy (@ThreeTeddies) recently wrote about how he has five pairs of shoes and thinks that should be enough. His wife apparently has more and continues to buy shoes. Good for her I'd say. I'll put the link to his discussion at the bottom.
I wrote quite a long response which I thought had disappeared but later I discovered it was there. However by then I’d decided to post about my shoes.
Firstly, I am officially ‘old’ and no longer work in any sort of profession or whatever. Also we have eighteen acres and do lots of bits and pieces around the place.
So: I have a pair of rubber boots for outside work in winter, one pair of thongs (sorry, flipflops) for summer wear, one pair of crocs (winter wear - too cold for thongs [sorry, flipflops]), one pair of light sandals (casual going out in summer), one pair of black shoes with a small heel (for anything that calls for something a bit dressy).
Then I have two pair of short boots which if I polish them I can wear out or if I need strong work boots, they're it. And a pair of very dressy Italian sandals - bought in Italy no less! They are the ones in the photo.
I have about six pairs of sneakers in various states of (dis)repair. Two of these my son picked up for me on Ebay. He is a great fan of Nike so most of my sneakers are ‘brand-name’. I’m pretty cool I am.
She just can't get enough! Shoes, that is. I don't know how many pairs she has but she is always ordering online and then huffing, puffing and sighing when...

When I was working I had shoes and sandals to match my clothes For occasions they were different may be with a gold or silver buckle here and there. Then there were shoes for the rainy weather, keds for walking. .............
I am a senior now. I do not socialise nor can I wear shoes with heels I have a a couple for home use and another couple when I decide to go out - local shopping, visiting friends, bank and such outings.
My shoe rack has shoes - good old shoes that I do not wear now

@JudyEv I hardly move out of the house and I yet have to give away those shoes that I do not use any more but do not know who will have them.

@allknowing Do you have any relatives who might benefit from them? What about some of the people who came to the party?

@JudyEv I wear mostly my yellow boots. They can withstand just about anything, but are not great for hiking. I almost wiped out today once because my friend told me there would be no mud but was wrong or not listening. I also have some sneakers that I wear in warmer weather, and some hiking boots that I could have put on today but did not. There are some dusty wingtips somewhere in my closet, and some flip flips that I wear in casual situations when it's above 55 F. So I guess I'm a bit of a "shoe horse," with five pairs, but mostly wear one of two pairs.

@TheHorse 'Wingtips' are foreign to me but that's okay. Our son says Vince should wear one pair of sneakers for a while then give them a rest and wear another pair. Stops them getting smelly apparently. That part makes a bit of sense.

I couldn't count my shoes if you paid me. We go out a lot, so I have lots of dressy shoes - heels of different heights, open toe, closed toe, and sandals. I also work out at the gym, walk, golf, and play tennis, so I need the appropriate shoes or sneakers for them. I wear ballerina flats, regular flats, flip flops, sandals, Uggs (up north) and rain boots. And only buy high end designer shoes, sandals, flip flops, and boots, such as Chanel, etc. I do buy cheap flips flops for hanging around the house. We have a busy social life, so I need a good variety. I do give my shoes to my new DIL, because we wear the same size.

Right now I think I have 4 pairs of shoes. I have a pair of flat summer sandals that I wear around the house and to go out to the laundry room, then I have my pair of hiking boots that I wear when we go to the park or if I need to walk to the store. I also have 2 pairs of wedge high heels, but I hardly ever have the chance to wear them

And that's probably enough. I have way too many. Perhaps I'll go through them and throw out those I don't wear.

Those Italians can sure make great shoes!
I also have five pairs of shoes and pair or rubber boots that I wear over a pair of shoes in the winter. I have a pair that I only wear inside the house.

@1hopefulman No snow where we live and mostly we're able to stay out of the wet places. But I do have rubber boots if I need them.

I used to buy many not very expensive but beautiful sandals to wear during summer. Summer calls me to wearing more color than winter. Now I wear one of my 2 pairs of sneakers during winter (when I found Sketchers I gave away the rest). As for sandals, I had to give them all away when I discovered that I coul only wear one type. I have 2 decent ones and 3 pair of flip flops.

Honestly, I have never counted them all, and some are in advanced state of wear and probably should be discarded. If I had to guess I would say 10 to 15 pairs, but that would include flip flops and boots. Ladyduck says she has a lot of shoes, I hope she sees this..lol.

Shopping for shoes is hard work. They feel fine in the shop but not so good when you get home.

I think I have over 30, counting all of them. I love your Italian sandals. Right now I'm restricted on the kind of shoes I can wear until this dang inflamed nerve in my foot completely heals. No high heels for now.

I like the sandals in the picture. I would love a pair of those. I have lots of shoes and boots but a lot of them I very rarely wear. For the most part there are 3 or 4 pairs that I wear on a regular basis.
