A splash photo

My husband is a keen photographer and has joined several online photo sites. Several of these have ‘challenges’ from time to time. A theme is given and a week later the moderators or a chosen member will give their verdict as to the photo that best fits the theme.
The judging is of course very subjective and the challenge is meant to be a bit of fun. But you can’t help noticing sometimes that people will put up something that has nothing to do with the theme. One week the topic was ‘green’ but at least two photos put up for judging had no green whatsoever in them. A ‘garden’ theme included a photo of a dog on a beach. You do have to wonder about people sometimes.
One group has gone crazy over ‘splash’ photos and there have been some very creative shots put up. Vince did this one which is not so much ‘splash’ as ‘pour’ but I liked it. Tomorrow I think he is going to try again but including a mirror in some way. I might need to come up with something creative again to help.

Nice to join activities where groups of people share the same interest. Photography can create magical moments

I like that splash photo. I am looking forward to seeing some of the results. Try to post some.

It's more a 'drop' than a splash isn't it? He might try to make a bigger 'splash' later but I think he'll need to go outside. Someone in the group made a huge mess in their kitchen and suggested others should perhaps go out-of-doors to do their splash photos.

@FayeHazel He'd been very careful not to spill any.

I'm also a keen photographer but I don't really do 'arty' type of shots - I'm more of a documentary style photographer

Vince has really widened his horizons since joining some of these groups. He knows a lot more about his camera now too.

It looks very nice and I really like it.
Maybe he could sell some of his photos and people could frame them as art for their homes.

He has a website now but mostly that is photos of people at (horse) endurance rides. People love to buy photos of their horses.

And who got to drink it after the splash pic? He may just have to do another one to get it from a different angle--hahaha~

I really love this splash photo. I too am a photographer and post my work on different sites and also join challenges. I love it and since I live traveling, I can usually meet most challenges. I also enjoy supporting other photographers. I would love to see more of your husband's work.

A lot of the photos I put up here are his. I mostly say so if they are. Otherwise they are mine with occasional Wikipedia ones thrown in if I don't have something suitable. He has just set up a website called downunderimages.com but it's mostly photos of endurance horses.

Thanks for the kind words. The photo site would be a lot of fun. Vince enjoys the ones he is on.
