My Poinsettia is Flowering

I've had this poinsettia for two years now and while in the living room a few minutes ago staring out the window at a wonderful sight, for now, snow coming down, I saw red on my poinsettia plant. Turning it for a closer look, I saw it had flowering leaves and it looks like there will be a few more as well.
I didn't know it would ever bloom again, so this was a complete surprise to me. Have you had poinsettia plants past Christmas? I've brought this particular plant back from the dead a few times, and now it's really leafing out a lot. It gives me hope for my other poinsettia, I bought last year. In another year that one too will bloom.
I first noticed this plant didn't die like the others I've had, so I kept watering it and now, two years later, it's blooming. Totally awesome!
In other news, the ice has come to an end for Green Bay and now it's all snow, and it's really coming down hard. This one just might be packing snow.
How are things with you? Thanks for reading.

@wolfgirl569 My son had a cat while he lived with me. He wasn't too bad. I didn't have plants at the time. Though he liked to get on my pillow, and that wasn't good because I was allergic to him. My son tried to keep him in his room where my son spent most of his time while at home.

I've always gotten a poinsettia at Christmas, though not this year. I didn't have any trouble with it with the dogs.

Yes, it is. I never had problems with plants and pets. I only had dogs and they never bothered the plants.

Lucky you. I could never get one to bloom again. It is chilly here in the teens.

Oh wow. I didn't know you could get them to bloom again, either. It's really pretty.
We're getting snow too. I have decided to embrace it

@FayeHazel If this winter keeps going the way it is, probably May. They're predicting harsh wind chills again today.

Although I haven't had a poinsettia in quite awhile I do remember it being around and blooming after Christmas. They are so pretty when they bloom and hope you get lots more flowers.
