So, I really want to talk with you guys about this topic, because I know that there are a lot of different opinions about it and I want to hear yours. My first question to everyone is, how do you feel about this community? Do you think that these people are different ? Do you find them rude, strange, distracting? Do you hate them? Personally, I'm homosexual and I have a girlfriend, who I really love and respect. For me there is nothing wrong with that. We all are humans and we are EQUAL. I don't think that we should worry about what other peoples say about us and about our decisions. We are free to love and marry who we want to. Love is love. Don't you think? My second question is have you ever questioned your sexuality? Have you ever asked yourself - ,,What If i'm not straight"? And yes, I think I know what was your first reaction. ,,How could I think of something like this? I'm not a gay, lol!". That's almost everyone first reaction. And this is the problem... People find LGBT people disgusting, because of their orientation. Why? If I'm a lesbian I'm not a human? I want to hear your opinions. Do you think our system is making us to be like that? I'm looking forward to hear your opinions. :)

I am from California so pretty open minded in that regard. Used to be homophobic but as they say evolved. I still do silly things like blurt out that is gay and have a couple of female lesbian friends who sometime go Yeah that is gay. Then I think was I just being offensive. Oh shut up, be you and not so politically correct is what they tell me. I have never questioned, about as straight as you can get which is probably why I blurt out things like that is Gay in Public.

I am not gay nor do I want to be gay. If my neighbor is gay, that is his business. I will treat everyone as a human being. I am also a Bible believer and everyone else can choose to believe or not believe what it says.

one of my twins is a member of the community. I believe that members of LGBT are just people no different than the rest of us...

firstable i respect every one ! but let me tell you my opinion ! the human instinct is like animals but We were selected from all these creatures with the brain (mind) human should not be like animals and follow all their instinct because if we do we will be like animals!! and savages!! that's why every thing comes with a reason !! men, woman , let's talk numbers!!! just count the pros and cons , you will find the cons of it is too high compare to the pros!!! if you know what i mean!!

I think they are just humans and that's it.. They are free to choose what they want in life.. I don't think, just because they are from a group, they would all have the same nature as rude or what ever, they are individuals.. Just like just because someone is a girl, she won't be more rude than boys or vice versa

My answers to your questions I offer with pleasure from the personal as a human being, but also as a servant of God, YHVH God, a follower of Jesus Christ, committed to the preaching of the Gospel and the spread of the Word of God contained in the Bible, which for me and for many people is The Will of God revealed to men for this time. From the personal, I can tell you with total certainty that I feel for you and for people like you all the respect I feel for people, whatever their human condition, I do not hate or reject or despise anyone. Lesbians, gays, whites, blacks, yellows, reds, poor and rich, tall and small, religious and atheists, are human beings. And as a believer in the Scriptures, I must say that, although I agree with what they say about sexuality and marriage, I do not hate or disrespect homosexual people, much less feel rejection or contempt for them, because I admit that Even though they do not believe in God and do not accept the Biblical Word, they were gifted by YHVH to make decisions, that is, free will, choose to be and do whatever they want. I have lesbian and gay friends and I maintain good human relations with them.

Yoana, I have been 'out' since 1948 when I was 12 years old and an activist since the age of 16--one of the first things I learned was to choose my words slowly and correctly---'this community'--'these people'--'them'--"LGBT people disgusting"--'disgusting'--'not human'. I know you don't think you are being negative about Gay people but if you want to talk equality why put us in a separate category. Most people who don't think of Gay people as equal very seldom even think of Gay people! Unless they are christians (small c) and want to degrade Gays. :O) I have NEVER cared what people thought of me--I NEVER worried about people accepting me. Love your girlfriend--respect your girlfriend and don't worry/think about what other people think--you are not here to live up to anyone's expectations except your own! Look at the answers below--the heterosexuals don't like us throwing our 'preference' in their face but most of our lives they talk about their husbands, wives, children, marriages, weddings, etc., on TV, in movies, magazines, etc., but 'please don't show 'them' kissing, hugging, showing affectionate for each other. I love the one "I don't want to be gay"--well I don't want to be non-gay--I am very happy with who I am. I could go on for hours---and more---but let me just say I don't know if I was born Gay or I choose to be Gay but if it is the former I thank my Gay relative(s) and if the latter it was THE BEST decision I made (though I don't remember getting up on my 12th birthday and say I am going to be Gay from now on). LOL There are Gay people here--some like Alfredo & I are 'out' while others are still in the closet--each person has to decide for themselves who they are.
