If you've seen the trailer, most of it happens in the first several minutes of the movie. The mountain lion is a little further in, and the end scene in the trailer is the end of the movie or the last scene. It's very good.
One thing unique about this movie is it's narrated by the dog, Bella. It's a different perspective on how animals think and act, and how they interact with people.
Bryce Dallas Howard played the voice of Bella. It also starred Jonah Hauer-King as Lucas, Bella's owner - though Bella owned Lucas. Alexandra Shipp is Olivia, Lucas's girlfriend, and Ashley Judd played Terri, Lucas's mother.
Bella found Lucas when he showed up feeding cats in an abandoned soon to be torn down home. From the moment Bella found Lucas, he was hers. However, things got bad when animal control determined Bella is a Pitbull and they aren't allowed within the Denver city limits. Lucas takes Bella to live with a relative, 400 miles away. What happens next takes you on a journey that brings her back to Lucas.
Below is the trailer. I give this movie two thumbs up.
On the way home from the movie, it brought home to me just how God was watching over me as the snow on the roof of my car slid onto my windshield when I stopped at a light. I had to get out and clear the windshield before I could get my friend and I home. It was an interesting day with the spinout in the morning and the windshield full of snow in the afternoon. I haven't had so much excitement in one day before.
I hope you enjoy the trailer and have an opportunity to watch this great movie.
'A Dog's Way Home' chronicles the adventure of Bella, a dog who embarks on a 400-mile journey home after she is separated from her beloved human.

Movies that have animals as stars of the movie are very good. Just like the movie "The Three Lives Of Thomasina" which came out in the early 1960s.
