Things Happen in Threes

Have you noticed that good or bad things happen in threes? #1. We in the USA have a 3 day weekend. It’s Presidents’ Day to honor President George Washington and President Abraham Lincoln. #2. Our grandson had 3 terrific occasions this week. He tied the halftime game hockey game he played in at Madison Square Garden against the 10 and 11 year olds last Sunday. He turned 9 years old on Valentine’s Day. He’s with his dad in Pennsylvania for the weekend for an ice hockey tournament and winning every game in which he’s been the goalie. #3. ME! I played tennis this morning. I lost a match. I won a match. And I fell going after a low ball and scraped both knees and my left palm, but I returned that ball and will live! Can you recall anything happening in threes for you? (I’ll be here for a bit, then have lunch plans. See you afterwards)

If they are good we wait for the third but not when they are not good. I could say that it happened to us yesterday. That cat's cry, Preiti with her hunger strike and this camera giving me trouble

You certainly had your share of bad threes. Our 2018 was full of those.

That surprises me, since you write such thought provoking discussions. Perhaps you should change it up a bit and write about your daily life, the weather, your city, your food, vacations, etc. Just a suggestion. Thank you! Just wearing one bandaid on one knee. lol

Uh oh, now ya got me thinking. About the only thing I've noticed that has happened in 3's are the 3 really dusty windy days today being the 3rd. I won't be surprised if we get more days like this, tis that time of the season .... if only it would rain first then it wouldn't be as dusty.

It sure is @DianneN the problem with winds out this way is that it dries out everything which makes it hard on my sinuses

@rebelann Soon the Northeast will have the winds of March which seem to begin in February. Do you use any over the counter meds to keep your sinuses moist?

I went out to eat three times this week with friends. I haven't been out three times in one week since I started this food program, so I know it's a record for me. I have three wonderful kids. I can't think of any other three at the moment. That's great about your grandson and sorry about your three. As you said, you'll live.

No, I but I do notice that a bad day is often followed by a good..or the other way around. It is part of the harmony of the universe.

You had a good 3! Well I guess we had a bust for the weekend that came in 3. So 1, the snow chains we bought looked like they were made incorrectly, so we took a long drive to exchange them - and when Hubby tried to get them on yesterday for practice, it turns out they were too small . So 2, there are road closures everywhere to get to the snow areas . . . a lot of roads have literally fallen apart from the rain and they are literally the only roads up to the skiing areas . So 3, this means no skiing trip this weekend - we were supposed to leave yesterday. Well, we're going to try to make a day trip to see snow today somehow at lower altitudes - not sure what we will find - at least we have a coaster .

Many times there are things that come in sets of 3, and it could be things where you have to take the Good with the Bad. As long as you come out swinging and winning in the end
