Going to have a vegan dinner this weekend

A coworker and I are going through similar experiences right now. I reached out to her tonight to tell her that I hoped she was hanging in there. She replied "not at all". She invited me over to her house this weekend for dinner, drinks, and commiseration. The problem? She's vegan. She said she would cook a vegan dinner for us. I like vegetables and all but my workout regimen demands that I also get a lot of protein in my life. I am going to have to have a protein shake before going over to her house. . . but that is okay. I love her and we have a lot to talk about. I'm just interested to see what I am served.

Hello NJ Chicaa... Having a protein shake is fine. I really want to try vegan diet. Unfortunately, everyone around me can't seem to live without meat. lol.

@NJChicaa For me, the diet is kind of interesting. They also have protein substitute such as nuts and some legumes. It's easy to miss the taste of meat, though. I think meat is a part of me since I was a young kid... lol (edited)

Sorry I am not into vegan at all. I just eat what I like and that is it. Lately, I have mostly had some pasta and made some chicken fillets.

Have you ever had GOOD tofu? Most people try it and pass a quick judgment on it. When it;s cooked prperly or even fried in a wok or pan it has so much taste to it. I hope you get some quality :me time this weekend. Thinking of you!
