So thisbahs happens a good few times where our pairs of angle fishes has laid eyes. We have two pearl angles in one tank and then a pair of marble in another and then a marble and a striped in a third tank. Only 2 sets of pairs are an actual mating pairs. Now both pairs have laid eggs before but this set shocked us. They laid eggs on one fo our heaters. Don’t know how long they where on the heater before my husband turn that one off. We just have he one heating in that tank running right now. Tomorrow in another 2 days we should have baby angle fish if they are all viable or any hatch. Angle fish some times eat there eggs or new young if they feel threaded. Crossing fingers for it to happen.

@youless we have had baby guppies. We separated one of our females because she has had 3 batches so she is retired for birthing. We like 3 tanks of 3 different sets of guppies. We are going to be mixing them up soon. Because they are almost to adult hood now.

Have you ever had them hatch? I have had my angel fish lay eggs many times, but I never got any baby angel fish.

We have had some hatch but not in this tank for this pair. For our pearls yes they did have some 2 weeks ago that did hatch but they didn’t last more then a day.

Isn't it just typical that they lay their eggs on the heater! I used to lay a piece of slate at an angle in the tank and the pair would normally spawn on that. This makes it easier to remove the eggs and hatch them seperately if necessary. This is one of my pair spawnings (note the hopefull swordtail looking for a free meal!):
