How Often Do You Lose Your Electricity?

Bridgton, Maine

I'm originally from Rhode Island, United States. And even though it was a relatively rural part of Rhode Island, I rarely lost my electricity while living there. However, I've lived in Maine, United States for most of my life. And I lose my electricity over every little thing. And when I first moved to Maine, a lot of the locals around here warned me that we lose our electricity a lot. How about you? Do you lose your electricity a lot where you live? Or are you more fortunate?

Every time there is a storm we have to be ready for power to go out. Happens several times a year.

We rarely lose electricity. Although I know some people who live near by and they lose it quite a bit. Or at least it seems like it. We live right by a hospital and two seniors homes. So, if we lose power, it's usually not for long.

Very rare where I live now. Last time I noticed it was in 2016. I lived a few years in the countryside, and I was losing electricity every 2 or 3 months.

If there's a power outage, it's usually an outside maintenance issue on my block or a change of weather. It happened every once in awhile per year and usually comes back within few minutes. Sometimes a bit longer.

Update: We just lost electricity here for about two minutes, due to high wind speeds.

We used to lose it for like every storm but eventually the transformer blew and they had to replace it. We've been fine after that.

Not often at all, but when i first moved here it would be about every 10 days in the summer,,,with the storms. I finally called the electric company and complained. They did something to reinforce the lines, and since then it hasn't really been a problem.

The power outage will be often if we are experiencing a strong typhoon.

The only time the electrical power goes out is during a severe thunderstorm which happens around once every three to four months.

Yes i do. happens like 2 or 3 times a month, for like 30 minutes, or a little more. It's totally annoying and authorities don't do anything to fix it. =/
