Secret kids business

This is my favorite family photo. It's my oldest son and his cousin at a family dinner. As the adults were busy with small talk about the weather and the food, the kids were busy discussing their own, seemingly more interesting things. My son is now 24 so this was taken some years ago, but it could be any 2 kids telling secrets any time and anywhere in the world imho.

Excellent photography, I have five children and seven grandchildren. I also know about these things, the secrets of the children, their conversations on the sly.

I think Paul the fact that we were all children once and we all remember our own "secret kids business" helps a lot. I must say you look too young to have 7 grandchildren. I have non yet but have been told they are even more precious than your own kids.

@karibe You forgot a very important point with grandchildren that may or may not be a contributing factor. Once you have finished playing with each other, you can hand them back :D

@CoachME In the profile picture, I look a little younger than I am today, I am 63 years old, I got married very young when I was not yet 21 years old ... There is something very beautifull if, maybe a little different in the relationship we had with the children and the one we now have with the grandchildren, perhaps due to the fact that as grandparents we have the experience we have acquired with our children to deal with children ... or because we are more tolerant and kind as grandparents and we become accomplices of his childhood antics ... And then the grandchildren correspond to us by pouring their sweetness on us and we fall in love ... Well, I do not know why this is so.

From the look on my son's face it might be the other way around. She's telling him "I have candy at home so we can steal some when we go back but you have to promise not to tell anyone."
