Would you respond to an exact same question asked in a discussion, if you have already answered it a few days ago?

Sometimes, I see exactly, the same question being asked, as was asked just a few days ago. I won't be tempted to answer it again. Only if I find the discussed matter in the post is something different than the other post, except the question, would I respond there. I know there are many people here and sometimes the one posting it may not be even aware that something like that has already being asked. Maybe I have also done that, not sure. I generally see tagged discussions to find if something exactly the same has been asked recently or not. Would you respond to them?

Do you know how many posts are written with the same questions or on the same topic in the same hour let alone day or days apart? Think about it this way. It's Valentine's Day. Atleast ten people are going to make a discussion about it. They might write about what they are or aren't doing, but then they'll ask the reader "What are you doing?" A season premier of a popular show started the previous night, atleast three people are going to write a discussion about it. It's payout day on mylot, atleast 7 people are going to write about it. It's the end of the month, atleast 5 people are going to ask whether you made it to the threshold. A lot of these topics are written about within hours of each other. Not just days. As for answering your question, it depends on the topic. Sometimes I'll respond, sometimes I won't.

@JohnRoberts We used to have it all categorized. Some categories were ghost towns. There were far more discussions being placed in the wrong category, they eventually did away with it.

That's just the way it is. Christmas generates dozens of posts basically repeating from the previous Christmas. But subtract all those holiday, weather, what's for dinner, what are you doing today etc posts, this site would be a ghost town.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, I know.. discussions about something very recent or something related to My Lot is logical as the more you ask specially about My Lot the more proper response you get.. but I am talking about a question such as, Do you like.. or do you have.. with the name of the same object.. or other forms of questions.. Like exact same. Not what are you doing today as here people discuss their life.. and for me everyday is different I am not saying it is wrong.. I am just saying for me writing about if I like or if I have something many times doesn't make sense within a month..

Yes and No Yes, if a person is serious to get answer and missed it previously, then I may answer. No, if it is same question answered many times; then I have no reason to answer the tape recorded question.

You are right.. It is impossible to keep a track but sometimes I see the exact same question as do you like abc or do you have xyz.. I don't feel like typing the same thing all over again if I just responded a few days back.. Sometimes, as I mentioned, the question is the same but the discussion has some matter and not just 2 3 random lines.. In that case I respond it differently.. Discussions like how was your day is fine, as every day is different.. but I like chocolates and I don't want to say that twice in the same month

Ok.. I don't mind answering same questions if I feel I have something different to offer.. I generally won't answer, do you like chocolates or something as simple as that with 2 3 random lines, if I have already said that within 10 days.. unless, I see something really interesting inside the discussion.. I will find some interesting discussions and most discussions here are nice

I don't mind if it is different people. Sometimes its possible that we are thinking about the same kind of things as they others. I would surely mind if the same person repeats the question which I think doesn't happen here.

@Sheali I don't feel bored. This site is so old. Many discussions repeat themselves. And people just post. They don't check discussions. I don't use tags in my discussions. And many people don't use tag.

@Sheali I guess for me here I don't really impose any rules on myself. I just do whatever interests me at the moment. I should note that for me as well it's not entirely about the earnings, but if the earnings stopped so would I. I generally think of what I do here as having a little bit of fun while also earning a little bit of money.

I generally won't answer, do you like chocolates or something as simple as that, if I have already said that within 10 days.. unless, I see something really interesting inside the discussion.. I anyways don't have time to respond to more than 30 discussions.. that's is the maximum..So, I will find some interesting discussions and most discussions here are nice..

@Sheali Yes and that's fine to me,I'm just thinking differently...maybe I did not see (or somebody else) your answer about tennis or shirt or whatever. I know from experience, that's what I've just seen here. I've seen a discussion about fridge magnets (example) which was set 7 days before I set it, at that time, I did not follow that member, and I simply did not see that post ... should I feel 'guilty' because I set up a similar discussion? I don't think so
