Hi My Lot, Here's my monthly post where I review my goals and journal about the overall month. I'll start with goals this time. Goal: Try 2 New Recipes Feb.: 5 Still using my instapot a lot this month all the things I tried turned out well. I particularly liked the hot shrimp, the chicken bacon ranch pasta, and the beef and mushroom gravy chopsteaks. Goal: 12 days of 1/2 hr. of exercise or 10,000 steps Feb.: 4 days Well, I tried and at least it's more than none Goal: 8 Books Feb. : 8 Books (incase you're not a regular reader of my posts, don't be impressed. These are mostly audio books and go much faster than a regular print book for me) Noteworthy were "The Storyteller" - Piccolt, (a girl saves herself from a concentration camp in WWII by writing a compelling story. Decades later her granddaughter finds her tormentor) and "Saved by an Angel" - Newmark (one of the popular "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books - people share tales of miraculous encounters.) So, I spent a bit more than I wanted to, but I needed a new bathing suit so that's all good. February of course opened with my birthday on the first. I know some don't celebrate their day, but I have always enjoyed my birthday and find things to do that are fun. I enjoyed several nice meals out - went thrifting and even get the Wendy's Frosty that I had been inexplicably craving for the past weeks. February handed us many trips to the ER (for my dad) and a couple of appointments to the University of Minnesota for my mom. Though happily dad has stayed in a fairly alright mood considering. This means he isn't angry at my mom or at me. Always a bonus. And thankfully - mom is alright and all of her appointments went well. Prayers still appreciated. February was also really snowy here, one of the most snowy on record. I am learning to be more like @Just4Him - and while I may not go as far as saying that I "like" the snow, I can at least appreciate it more and whine about it less lol. It makes everything clean and bright looking. And if I'm at my home it means I don't need to drive to town for yet another crisis. February also is the month of the 50 hr trivia marathon that I love to participate in. So, it was both fun and trying at the same time. Here's to an even better March. Photo: Pixabay

That is great to hear about your goals....and that the month had some fun times, and wasn't all trying. Hope March will be great for you, too!

Good for you. I never keep goals on paper, I just try to do what I can when I can. Whatever works, seems to be doing great for you!

Thanks! I started out with a bullet journal - but I kind of condensed it down into something that works for me.

It sounds like a good month to me! You got accomplished. I am still a little afraid of the instapot..but I'll get there eventually. I have one here basically taking up space.

Thanks! Oh Instapot? I know I was a little scared at first too. But there are many safeguards in place to keep you safe. :-D

@FayeHazel Handle with Care is my favorite. My boyfriend has the same bone disease but a more mild form then the little one in the story.

@FayeHazel All that free food and underwear and not wearing pants...that makes up for a lot of the unfun stuff. Not all of it but it is a giant step in the right direction.

I think February was the snowiest one we've had in quite a long time. I know it was a record in many ways. The weatherman did mention how many years, but I can't remember. You did well with your goals. You tried. You won't achieve anything if you don't try.

I'm glad your month of February worked out well for you. I still don't know whether an Instant would work out for us or not. Hoping March is a wonderful month for you.
